Established in 1884, Woodland Elementary School provides learning opportunities for students in kindergarten through grade six. Its academic curriculum features classes in a variety of subjects, such as math, science, social studies and language arts. The school has an enrollment of more than 600 students. Woodland Elementary School operates band, chorus, orchestra and patrol clubs. It administers music, speech therapy and physical education programs. The school also offers food services for students. It provides a range of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, and track and field. In addition, the school conducts science fairs and spelling bee competitions. Woodland Elementary School is governed by the Puyallup School District, which operates elementary, middle and high schools.
