My husband and I live on the Washington coast. Our 17 year old daughter was up in Pierce County visiting family. Her 2004 Chrysler Pacifica started having mechanical problems, meanwhile we were three hours away from her not much we could do. My husband and I called around to different shops. This shop was willing to help our daughter in any way possible they were kind to her and made her feel comfortable in a very scared situation. This was her first time away from us driving on her own. They were able to fix the problems and get her back on the road safely. I am so grateful for the kind people who work at Apex brake and mufflers. I took my car here for an oil change because of the coupon that I got in the mail. They ended up over torquing and stripping the bolt that holds the oil pan in place. I only know this because I took my car to the Honda dealership for my next oil change and they found it. I ended up having to pay $10 for a new bolt. Their "cheap" oil changes aren't so cheap when they ruin other parts that end up needing to be replaced. Never going back here again.
Ace auto body is an absolute joke, this shop took my sister's jeep in for repair only to have it sit for 9 months with out a thing being done to it. Andy the owner is not a man of his word, and a coward. This Jeep was my late father's and a family heirloom. They treated it like absolute garbage leaving it outside to rot. The body work they did on it was absolutely terrible along with all the overspray as well. I ended up repoing the jeep myself and finishing it on my own. Andy wants to call himself a friend to my family but treated us like dirt when it comes to $$. I am so disappointed in this shop and their work ethic. STAY AWAY, this shop is unorganized and an absolute mess. Save your time, money, and vehicle by going somewhere else.
Took my car to buckys in Puyallup for an over heating issue, left my car there at 9am on a Sunday, they didn't get around to looking at it until 3pm. They said I needed a new thermostat, a flush and that my radiator had hot and cold spots, i.e. meaning my radiator was dead, that I needed a new one (also I could not flush it because the radiator is supposedly made of plastic, according to Buckys), and all that was going to cost me 730 plus tax, and then after that I might have a blown head gasket.....well I just got done changing my thermostat myself and guess what....no over heating issue, problem solved. Cost me 32 bucks for the part and a good afternoon with my daughter helping me fix it! Is Buckys a rip-off? I'll let you decide, it's not worth the risk. We will never go back again. :(
I have a very sick baby in the hospital. Leaving to meet someone for a scheduled appointment is a HUGE deal when you have a really sick kid. Over the weekend, I called to schedule a windshield replacement & reconfirmed the appointment this morning with them. They NEVER showed up today or returned my calls when I called at my appt time & again 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment and I left 2 messages. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone!
I was not at all impressed about the service. Long wait times, and don’t expect speedy service with a smile. Poor customer service. I took my car in as soon as they opened for business, and had explained to them the issue I was experiencing with my car. The guy I spoke to asked if I would be able to leave the car with them, and they would take a look at it, when they got a chance. I asked him, how long it would take? He said “it would be for a couple of hours” It took more than several hours, before they contacted me about what they found wrong, they explained to me exactly what was needed to be replace to fix the problem with my car, and I would have to schedule for another day to fix the problem. So I agreed and scheduled an appiontment for later that week. On the day of my appointment I arrive as soon as they opened for business. The person I left my keys with said, that it would take a couple of hours, and they would call me when it was ready. I received a call, an hour before they closed, that my car was ready. So I returned before the end of business day, paid and got my keys. Less then under a week, I started experiencing the same problem I had from before I took it in to Torque Automotive. I contact Torque about it, and they said to bring back in. So here I go again….. I take my car back in when they open for business, and it takes them all day… just to find what the problem may be, and then I had to schedule a whole other day to try and fix it. Once again, I take my car in when they opened; then later receive a call, an hour before closing that my car was ready.After I pick my car up from them, once again I’m experiencing the same problem all over again. I contact them, yet again to let them know about it, and they said to bring it back in. I return the very next morning when they opened for business, and left my car with them, for the sixth time.... for the same issue. It took them a whole day to look at. After looking at my car this time though, they contact me,and said that I will need to get something else replaced to resolve the issue that I originally asked them to fix, because what they had replaced earlier didn’t solve the problem. I totally regret taking my car in to them, never again. I would not recommend Torque Automotive.

My experience with this shop has been absolutely a nightmare. It has been 4 weeks and $3500 since I dropped my wife's car off because of a transmission issue. I have returned it three times because of issues. They are currently pulling the transmission out for the third time to try and fix workmanship and parts issues. I've asked for my money back and of course have gotten the run around. I have no trust that the car will ever be right so I will most likely be trading it in as soon as I can get it to run long enough to get it to a dealer. When I was in the shop the other night to pick it up (unsuccessfully) I met two other ladies who had similar experiences to mine. All of them unresolved. Save yourself some time, money, and heartache. Take it somewhere else.
A front end alignment taking 4 hours and costing 89.00 ended up being 1&1/2 days in their shop and costing over 2200.00! This is an 8 year old car that has never been wrecked, I don't know what they were doing! There isn't enough room here to go into all of the B.S. and lies! Make sure you check you mileage when you go in because they dummy the mileage when it goes out! I wouldn't trust them to bury a dead animal let alone touch a vehicle of mine again! DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!!!!
