Yankee Fly & Tackle

I could not possibly recommend this business. While some people must have a good experience, or the place wouldn't be in business anymore, Dawn and her crew turn off more than their fair share of customers. There are plenty of other places in town to get gear, advice, and just spend a few pleasurable minutes talking about fishing, the weather, or whatever else. The three or four times I've gone into Yankee Fly and Tackle I have been treated rudely or ignored.

Frankly, I think the only reason this lady gets any business is because of the internet. They have a good website, and book a lot of lodging/guiding that way, and treat you well once you've committed to spending a significant amount of money with them. If you're OK with being treated well only in exchange for money, well, maybe this is the place for you.

If you don't believe the negative reviews on here, go anywhere in Pulaski that's not a tackle shop and ask about the place. They'll fill you in on why you should steer clear.

If you want to catch fish,Yankee tackle is the best place..ive stayed there,bought rod and reel,,fishing license, etc.many times.the information they provide on tackle, fish location, etc. Is always on point...and it's free.this is a place that takes fishing seriously .i have never had a problem with dawn either. She hires the best and most knowledgeable guides to insure you catch fish.also,if you can't or tire of traveling, you can fish right in back of the shop.if,on the other hand,you are more interested in saving a few pennies to buy more beer ,there are other places to hold your hand while you cry about not catching any fish
