Horrible service there wouldn't even rate a 1 star.. My grandpa went to pick up his dog and when he picked her up it was hot in the grooming building and when they gave him the dog she was panting really bad and her tongue was purple! He asked them what was wrong with her and they said they didn't know she's been in the back for about an hour! He rushed her to the animal hospital and on the way she passed! The vet said she passed away from a heat stroke! She was in there care all day since 9am! I will never ever do service with them again and we will not let this go!!
Frequent customer. The store itself is beautiful. Fun place to take the kids. They have a wide varity of pets with everything you could ever need to care for them. The staff is great always super friendy, and helpful. The long term staffers really know their stuff. My only concern is that ever time I buy fish I loose most of them. They do have a decent return policy if they die in a certin timefram from the purchase date and it is not because of something wrong with PH balance in your tank. Unfortunately, they usually die just out side the window. This has been the case over my last 3 or 4 purchases, and I loose 2 out of 3.
I last two times that I left my dogs at Country Canine, I had a bad experience. The last visit included an ear infection and a fever to the point where my dog cried when I tried to pet him. How could the staff there not notice this? I had to take my dog to emergency for medical care that same day. I will not take my dogs back to Country Canine nor do I recommend them.
Took my dog in for a bath and haircut. When we picked him up, staff was very sketchy about bringing my dog, Arnie out. When he came out, his eye was bloody and his left side of his face was swollen. They said it was from him straining on his collar while taking a bath. We didn't buy it. They said if it didn't look better in 48 hours, to call them and they would take them to their vet. We weren't comfortable with that; our dog looked miserable. So we took him to our vet in Colorado Springs whom we have gone to for a while now, and we trust. They took a look at Arnie. Realized he had bruising throughout his eye, his ear, and his mouth. Determined there was no way that was from "straining" on his collar. Livid, realizing someone had HIT my dog, I called pet paradise and talked to grooming manager. She said "it happened while they were blow drying him". Story had changed. And so basically, she allowed us to believe someone hit him with the blow dryer. LONG STORY SHORT-- We urge you to NOT GO TO PET PARADISE. We are pressing charges, and we were told they got accused of this not too long ago. Awful.
We needed to take our dog home one night, and when we requested this they hung up on us. We had to call the cops just to get our own dog back, and then they held our dog for a $50 ransom- cash only!!!!
Jim and his family are always flexible and understanding when I end up 5 minutes late. Our dog always appears happy and well taken care of. We appreciate having a trustworthy family taking care of a part of our family!
We boarded our two dogs for 8 consecutive nights over the Thanksgiving holiday and have no complaints. Jim gave us permission to text him any time we had concerns and accommodated our need to pick up the dogs on a Sunday (their one "closed" day of the week). Rates were reasonable since our dogs could share a kennel, and they came back healthy and happy. Thumbs up!
What a wonderful place to shop!! Very friendly and knowledgeable!! Everything I was looking for and more... will be doing all my pet shopping needs here!
Pueblo West Boarding Kennels is a wonderful place to take your "kid"! I have boarded Major, my one-year-old Doberman here and had a great experience. I like that they provide blankets (my Major is a shredder), and their own leashes for walks. When I went back to pick Major up, they told me about how funny some of his quirky mannerisms were (he makes a chomping sound with his teeth and "sits" on a couch with only his back end). I could tell that they had really spent time with Major since they noticed his goofy habits. He seemed to really enjoy the staff and his experience here. Their prices are also very reasonable and I like that the runs have indoor (climate-controlled) space and outdoor space so the dogs can go in and out as they please. I highly recommend Pueblo West Boarding Kennels!
