Oldtimers

We have eaten at this restaurant since the early 70"s as a couple dating, then as a family, as we married and began our little family, with our extended family filling up that back room, and our memories of the food and fun we shared there are all top notch. One time and one time only did we have a bad experience and "that" was our waitress (she didn't last long). This family has worked hard to keep the integrity of the food the same as it was in the early years, and we are so please to see them expand, sharing the awesome food with people who may not know of the original location. Try the Mexican Pizza (we don't even need a menu)! Did I mention that we moved away and only visit Pueblo when we know that they will be open?

El Nopal is the best Mexican restaurant in Pueblo! I would recommend it to anyone who wants a casual, satisying meal that is obviously homemade. No frozen foods to be found here! Try the chile rellenos!

I have no idea what the other review on here was talking about. If anything, the quality of the meat is HIGHER here than other Mexican restaurants. My friends and I love to go eat at El Nopal. The quality of the food is very good. You can tell things are homemade. The service can be slow at times, but its just a little family-run place. If you want super fast service, go to Taco Bell. I recommend El Nopal to everyone I know!

I tried this restaurant several times and was unhappy each time. The food was not prepared to a high standard and the meat was very dry. The service was mediocre. I'm not going to go again.
