The food is good, and if you like sushi, there's plenty to choose from, better than many buffets in the area. And their Habachi is good too, for what they offer. Their better than many places in this area. But I have to say that some people commenting here just don't tip worth a damn, I've often seen HUGE 20+ plus families drop a dollar on the table! Thus the servers who sometimes have to really knock themselves out for groups like that (who abuse the heck out the place) try and speak up once in a while.
The fast service and tasty food at a reasonable price makes this a lunch favorite. The cashier keeps everyone moving quickly, both customers and cooks, and the cooks work at a frantic pace to keep the orders coming while you watch. The buffet style wok is a nice touch too. A few tables in a dimly lit alcove (no glaringly bright florescent lights here) is available that isn't too bad but most orders are to go. Not fancy, just good food at a reasonable price.
This was my first visit and I must say the food was pretty good for the price. My biggest concern was how rude the server was. She wasn't very helpful with my questions about the menu and had a terrible attitude the whole time. To top it off they over charged me by $3 and when I brought it to my servers attention I just got even more attitude. Not friendly at all there. Customer service was the worst I've ever experienced in the Minneapolis area.
I'm very undecided about Habachi but they are close to me when we're looking for a quick dinner. The service usually has a language barrier as for the food it's always like a hit or miss. We've enjoyed it enough to know when to come (dinner) but it's still just more seafood. As for the atmosphere it's not as large as Teppanyaki just a few miles away.
I recently stopped at the 5300 Central Avenue, Minneapolis, MN store on 5/8/17 @ 4:20 PM and ordered the PKing with fried rice. I have to say this was the worst LeeAnn Chin's I have gotten. The rice was undercooked and very dry. The PKing chicken was mush and not very tasteful. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of your food.
Take out for Birthday Party. Very disappointing. Honey shrimp was not crisp, very doughy. Sesame chicken tasted old - tough. Mongolian Beef was good. Ate there 1 week ago & it was good. Very inconsistent! You never know what u are going to get!
Authentic Chinese food in Nordeast, Minneapolis. Intergenerational family run business - you will enjoy the atmosphere and the food. Great for a dinner before a movie at the Heights Theater.
Clean environment, professional service, food came quick, authentic and well presented, chicken in a basket was great, vegi egg rolls crisp and tasty. Recommended!
Good food, good service but poor manners from the servers. Waiter asked for tip before we even finished eating.
We have been going to 1st Wok for 20 years. Great food and great service!! The chicken fried rice is the best.
