Overall
Resort?

I'm sure this place was nice when it was built in the 70s. Rooms are rundown and smell. There are outhouses at the swimming pool! No restaurant or bar because of a fire that happened over a year ago. Overall a pretty missable place to stay.

OK....not great. Run down decor

Not very good... Run down, looked like it might have been a great place in the 70's early 80's. Wait staff was not good. Food was just OK.

Huge disappointment

We had dinner here during our recent visit expecting a Princeville-equivalent, but found it anything but. The hotel is tired and old, and the restaurant is the same. There is a great view if you get a table by the railing (we had to ask), but that is the only thing to recommend the place. Food was OK at best, prices were very high, and service was both sloppy and inattentive even by Hawaii standards. We were surprised to be given a Styrofoam ?doggy bag? while waiting (and waiting) for our check. After at least 10 minutes, the waitstaff reclaimed it (it contained another table?s uneaten food, and they had been waiting for it). Yuck!
