Great Place!!



The girls at the front desk are always helpfully, had no problem getting my apartment and moving my stuff in. Life is easy.

I got here the first day and they helped me move in right away!

Great place to live! Amenities are amazing. Friendly staff. Very helpful. Close to everything. Glad to call IPA home.

This place is very convenient to Fort Lee. It's literary 300 meters out of the gate. You have to see it to believe it. I loved it. The staff was always offering freebees and there were always community activities to enjoy. Among the activities there were pool parties, karaoke, and other family oriented events. I was there during the summer months and I do not know if this is true for the rest of the year.



The staff also walks you thru the process and try to help you as much as they can. The price is a no brainer. By living so near the post, you save money in gas and get to sleep a little longer in the mornings.



What I found more convenient was to have a gym opened 24/7. The gym is not big but it had all the machines I needed and was always relatively empty. I felt very secure going to the gym at 10 pm. No one can enter the gym unless they were residents (had a key). The other extra was the TV in the gym.



In the afternoons many families gather in the sand playground to have their kids play. It feels like a big community but it is small. There were lots of cars but I always managed to park my car within 25 meters of my apartment. I think that you can also purchase a parking space but I think that it is useless because there is always parking.



The dumpster is in its own building and is not an eye sore spectacle. It is away from the apartments but accessible to all. It has a window that you open and thought the garbage there.



It was a great experience and I will recommend it.

The staff at Independence Place were very helpful and hospitable. Each member (Lisa, Tiffany and Stacey) all ensured that none of my questions went unanswered. This is one of the first apartments where the pictures online matched the actual onsite location. So far, I'm proud to be called a "resident" of this community and I'm confident that the initial impression that I received will last until the day I move out.

IF you want to stay in Fort LEE VA as a foreign soldier, Independence Place is the best choice. I'm a korean Major and attending Military course in ALU. I worried about loging before coming to USA in Korea. But I am satisfied with great good apartment perfectly now. Staffs are very kind. Facilities are very clean and convenient. I recommand this apartment strongly~

I moved into Independence Place April 2013. When my finacee and I first took a tour of this place, it was something that we instantly fell in love with. The process was so quick, after saying that we loved the place we were able to apply and get approved that day. The place is great from the start because your able to do short/long leases whichever one is good for you, you can get it furnished or unfurnished as well. Its in a great place, being close to the base, having plenty of restaurants around and other necessities that you may need. Me and my finacee went with the furnished and ever since we moved in we have loved it, plus the rent is so reasonably if you really think about it. Its close to both of our jobs and great pricing, we love it so much that at first we signed a 6 month lease, we both knew it was great to us so we signed a new 1 year lease. If your looking for something with a quiet neighborhood, great apartments and pricing, Independence place is the place for you.

I moved to Independence Place Apartments (IP) in March 2013. I am attending school at Fort Lee Army Base and needed a nice place to stay for 18 months, all bills paid and that was very close to the base. They are located directly accross the street from Fort Lee and offers short term or long term lease agreements. When I am on Temporary Duty (TDY) with the Army, I am able to save my place and pay part of the rent while away on official duty. Other options are if there is an IP apartments at my next duty station I can move there without filling and paying any applications fees and still return back to Virginia by saving my place when done with my TDY obligation. I was looking for somthing that was affordable, furnished and a place were I did not have to share signing a lease with anyone else. They offered just that. I am currently on my own lease agreement and share one of the 4 bedroom apartments which is very roomy and furnished. Cable, internet and utilities are included in the rent. I have my own full bathroom in my room, walkin closet and furniture. The entry to my room is secured with two locks, bolt lock and bottom lock. I share the common areas such as the living, kitchen and laundry that is equiped with full size washer and dryer. This apartment offers the top of the line amenities, computer center, exercise room, pool, gameroom and more. Also, the staff is awesome and friendly. You got to check them out, you won't be dissapointed. I wasn't and I came all the way from San Antonio and took care of all the application process online several months before my arrival.

I moved to Independece Place Dec 2011 and stay here for about 6 months and then moved out. I had to leave for TDY because im in the military when I came bcak to Va. I looked around and other places was just to small and cost to much. Guess what I end up moving back to Independence place and be here since, August of 2012. I love it fully furnish everything included, you cant beat that. Its great for Military personnel who come here for school or TDY. I moving out july 3rd PCSing to Fort Jackson. I loved the area and will definetly miss Mrs Stacey she a great LandLord and very understanding. Thumbs up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is absolutely top of the line! Luxury abounds, and at a very reasonable price for what you get. I have traveled extensively over the last several years because of my career (staying in apartments and luxury motels) and this place is by far the most comfortable and has more amenities than I'll ever need. Independence Place has so much to offer. Location, luxury, staff, and amenities. Everything is immaculate and pristine. As a health conscious person I was so impressed with the fitness center, that if I had seen it before I joined the local gym, I would not have wasted my money on a gym membership. The management and staff were exceptional. They went out of their way to accommodate me when I had special circumstances involving my relocation to the area and special requirements for what I needed in a place to live in. As a matter of fact, I have recommended this place to a couple of my friends when they relocate to this area as well. AAAAAA plus!

The Independence Place staff has been wonderful to work with. Not only are the facilities great but the customer service has proven top notch. We had a rather unique accommodation request. Yet, the staff worked with us until we could find and arrangement that would meet the needs of my family and I. One of the few places around offering short term leases, fully furnished apartments, utilities included, all at reasonable all inclusive rate. Fully recommended!

Great staff. Very quiet and respectful neighbors.

Location: This apartment complex is approximately 2 minutes from Shop Gate, Fort Lee, and 10 minutes from A avenue Gate, Fort Lee.

Shopping area: It has several stores and shopping centers nearby.

Apartment setting: I had three great roommates from the military that worked at Fort Lee. All utilities included with a great price.

Amenities: Excellent computer and entertainment rooms.

I love living here and the office people are friendly and very competent. There is no deception. Everything you need to know about living here is told to you up front. There are no hidden fees.

I feel very safe and my children have a luxury place to play. I tell everyone about this place because you do save a lot of money especially in the electricity and water.

The furniture is lovely and very comfortable. My two bedroom are spacious and so are the bathrooms.You also have a very roomy laundry room!

I am sadden that there isn't an Independence Place apartments in Washington State.

This place is the best! I highly recommend it!

Believe it or not, 5 star living is affordable, even for those of us who have far from perfect credit!!

I nearly missed the chance to live here, I called to inquire about availability then after seeing pictures of the complex on apartments.com, I called back to say that I was looking for "affordable housing, and thanks anyhow" were it not for Miss Victoria calling me back, to insist that yes indeed it was affordable. I would have missed my very first chance to experience luxury living on a budget.

I could hardly believe it when she explained that all utilities are included even cable and internet!

The appliances are new sleek black and a microwave too.

The layout is very contemporary

The apartments are well insulated

The flooring is wood in the main areas

But I must say what truly makes this living so extraordinary is the level of care you will receive from the outstanding staff! You will feel immediately at home when you meet the wonderful staff. I have never been so impressed by my living conditions.

Great management, Stacy and Staff are very professional and cordial, my experience at Independence Place Apartments since my relocation to Virginia has been great. I personally recommend the apartments to anyone looking for tranquility and great support. Managers like Stacy will facilitate your process and will ensure you are constable and satisfy. Great place at a reasonable price!

Great place to live. You could not ask for a more courteous and responsive manager. Stacy and her staff are some of the best professional property managers that I have ever seen. When I first arrived in the area, I checked out AQUA and the customer service was anything but impressive and I get fed up waiting around for someone to attend to me without any sense of urgency. I realized that might just be an harbinger of what to expect with this management team. I then got a word-of-mouth referral from a friend who stays at the Independence Place to check it out and I just fell at home immediately. I moved in the second day. I got more than AQUA was offering for less the price.

The rent is all-inclusive: utilities and furniture. That's definitely hard to beat around here. If I ever come back to Fort Lee in the future, Independence Place will be my choice residence.

I absolutely love living in these apartments. The staff is friendly, and the amenities are great. I feel safe here, and love the fact that fort lee is right across the street.

I enjoy the celebrations they throw here to make this feel more like a community and not just a bunch of apartments in the same area.

My kids also enjoy living here. My daughter really loves the gym, as do I. If you are looking for a place that is convenient, cost effective, and friendly THIS IS IT! I will be very sad when I PCS to a different state, and will miss everyone here very much.
