We just bought a 2014 Ford Transit Connect at their end of year clearance. What a joy buying from this dealer. Everyone was incredibly nice, especially our salesman, RIchard. He made our whole experience so awesome. It was done quickly, easily and very efficiently. Our finance guy, Bruce, was friendly, helpful and courteous. He gave us great advice and even laughed at our silly jokes. Thanks to everyone at Preston Ford - we will definitely see you again.
Am having a major meltdown over Preston Ford. My temporary tags run out on the 12th of August, which is tomorrow. I called them on the 6th to find out when my tags were going to be in. The person who answered the phone said there was a red flag so they couldn't give me the tags. She also said she sent me a letter to explain it all. I got the letter on the 7th; the postmark was the 6th. The enclosed letter was dated July 24th.
If they had sent me the letter when they first noticed the red flag (back in July), I could have avoided all this, but to wait this long! Now I have been running back and forth to Grasonville, Salisbury and Easton trying to get all the proof I need to show that I don't owe what the MVA says I owe.
Thank you Preston Ford. The money I have spent in traveling back and forth since the 7th would have made a car payment.
Beware of their "Lifetime Engine Repair Agreement"... they pushed that as a selling point for me and later when I read all the fine print I found it states it will not cover a "vehicle more than 6 calendar years old", which this one is. They should not have used it as a selling point then!! A lot of other vehicles are also not covered as well as any with 100,000 miles on them.
I emailed about this and the salesperson simply replied "you should be covered", which does not legally alter the contract.
A few days later I found that the CD player did not work and emailed asking if they would fix it or not. After several emails to the salesperson who kept saying he would get back to me, no reply either way. Who carries a CD when they go to test drive a vehicle? had I known this at the outset they would have either fixed it or I would not have bought it.
Terrible customer service after the sale!
