Owned Ruger for 35 years. In the 80s my Air Force buddies and I shot a Security Six sloppy. Ruger put it back tight as a drum, reblued it, just like new. Recently they repaired an SR40, picked up the shipping, and it runs like a champ. I've owned dozens of Ruger over the years and considering the thousands of rounds through them, have had little to no troubles. You can't go wrong with Ruger.
This is a negative review. Just to let the buying public know who they are doing business with. I drove a hundred miles to buy a 22 that they had on sale (listed on the internet). When I got there they said that it was no longer on sale, however they admitted that their website still showed that it was on sale. They were very grumpy with a bad attitude. I don't need this, there are lots of places that appreciate my business.
I had to take my 9mm to get fixed they were beyond helpfull. They really stand behind their product. They fixed it at no cost to me and even shipped it at their cost back to me. I couldn't be happier with my merchandise if I ever get another I would definatly go ruger . Everyone i came into contact eith was very profesional and friendly. thank you everyone for your helpCorinne
I have owned a true variety of Ruger firearms for about 4 decades, from single-action revolvers to double-actions, and from small caliber to large caliber, and also semi-auto pistols. The very first time I wanted a replacement part, which was NOT due to any manufacturing defect, but primarily due to age of the gun and some cosmetic reasons, Ruger not only replaced the part at no charge, but ran a functionality/safety check on the gun within 2 working days, and then shipped it to me via 2-day delivery absolutely free of charge. There is no better customer service than this!
Bought a Ruger 22. Kept jamming. Returned to J&G and Ruger verified it was faulty and replaced. Second gun did the same. I shot videos of it jamming at the range. I couldn't believe I got two lemons! Management didn't want to see my videos. After two returns they told me they felt they could not please me and therefore they would not sell me another replacement gun and asked me to leave. I was very polite the entire time. To add insult to injury they charged my debit card a second time rather than process the refund. What a nightmare getting my refund. They just drained my bank account. I also bought ammo for the guns that malfunctioned and they refused to refund me for the ammo. Cannot believe what jerks these guys are. Please avoid them.
Great place to do business. Kind of busy at times, but very helpful and do not talk down to you like Buck's or High Country do.
I purchased an AR15 through my employer; the transfer was handled by Bucky’s. I was informed that there would be a fee for the transfer. I expect to pay for services, but the average fee for that type of transaction in this area is $25. They charged $35. To add insult, I am a FFL dealer myself; I know the amount of paperwork and effort that a transfer between FFLs is negligible at best. There is no need or requirement for filling out a form 4473 or doing a background check. The FFLs exchange copies of their licenses, and the transferor should fill out some form of bill of sale, for their records. I have made done business with them in the past and felt I screwed. I know that I was screwed this time.
Ill be blunt and honest. If your looking for prices bordering on criminal, then this is the store for you. All you have to do is pick up an 1800$ base model colt, then check the price directly from factory.......which is 700$. These guys have mastered price gouging. Well done Bucky. Try asking them about a higher quality gun like an LMT piston rifle, they will tell you the colt is on par or better. Anyone with a bit of common sense knows this is false. But hey, with enough stupid people willing to dish out money, anything is possible.
