Open Door Baptist Church

This church, though Open is in its name is not so open to people who are different from the other members. If you have problems, they will shun you. If you were ever abused, they will shun you.

Recently, their pastor called a member, who is a female abuse victim, and her common-law husband into his office where he, his wife, and two other male members verbally assaulted her and her common-law husband. From what I have heard about his counselling sessions, his knowledge of psychology and etiquette regarding victims is severely lacking. It is my opinion that if you have a bad history, do not attend this church. They can and will turn on you as quickly as they can.

I had been to several churches in the area before I found this one. Open Door goes out of their way to make everyone, member or visitor, feel welcome. People are treated like family and the Word of God is not watered down. This is a loving, Christ-centered church.
