Beware of Mr. Able Propane. If you are, or are thinking of becoming a customer, read the fine print of your service agreement carefully. They expect you to remain a customer for AT LEAST an entire 15 months once giving written notice of your wish to terminate propane purchase, regardless of your wishes or particular situation (such as switching to electricity). If you happen to miss the cutoff for terminating your service agreement by even 1 day, you’re beholden for the remainder of your current year PLUS 12 months. They will let you out of your contract once "proper notice" has been given but will intend to bill you for 50% of "lost revenue".Unlike all other utilities, this is true even after you have been a customer for at least a year. I was a 9 year customer.I don’t put up with being extorted but I wish to warn those that may be more “polite” and be impacted by this harsh tactic of retail sale.
Unprofessional extortionists. I moved into a new house with a propane tank, never heard anything about who owned it and the former owner couldn't remember if they owned it or rented it. I had it filled (by another company because I didn't know this company owned it), and 15 months later, without notice, and a day before a snow storm and 4 degree weather, they disconnected the line and asked for $189 to reconnect it. Don't give them your business.
Our driver was a nice guy and tried to give us good service but the people in the office are abominable. They are rude, difficulty along with and refused to give good service. I've been told many times that I would have to wait for up to a week to get gas because it could only come to my house on a certain day even though I am practically beside their facility and the drivers drive by my house every day. It also took them six months to fix a problem with my tank and they never have fixed the stove that they were supposed to fix. I finally changed and have a much better provider and much cheaper.Go anywhere else, do not get them.
I had an appointment for them to come out and give me an estimate for a couple of jobs. An hour and a half after the scheduled appointment, no on was here, no one called. I called the office and the secretary said I was on the schedule for the day and time I thought I was. She could not get ahold of the man that was supposed to come out. He wasn't answering his phone. The manager overheard her conversation with me and told her to tell me the man was sent out on some unexpected jobs. He offered to come out later in the day. I told them "No, I'll find someone who actually wants my money". I should have listened to the other reviews on this page!
