We had the worst experience here. I can't blame my server laura, she was great. She needs to get a raise or go work somewhere else and make more money & not be treated poorly. Why are we for childish games at work? Why would you stick a sign on your coworkers back and let her walk out with it? Not to mention becuz people were so focused on writing the note our food was undercooked. And the manager last night was the worse. Both her & the bartender & a few other people saw the poor girl had the note on her back. None of them did anything to help Laura. And the bartender saw this old man was clearly too drunk to drink and she kept serving him alcohol and took the money instead of calling him a cab. If this is what this establishment will be i have no interest in returning. And they brought the wrong order to our table and told laura it was hers. If she was new, why would you break someone in that way, & the young manager there did nothing to help her.i would rather go to McDonald's
Many years ago, when I was 15, my mother was ill, and my father not around. My younger brother and sister and I needed help. Couldn't go to the "authorities" (I.e. Welfare) b/c with my mother in a coma, the authorities would have separated us (no competent adult in household). I had .gotten 2 jobs, but wouldn't be paid for 2 weeks. So I desperately needed short term help for groceries. I went to Catholic Charities in Poughkeepsie, explained I need some groceries. The woman helping me asked if $30 would help. I was overwhelmed b/c I knew I could buy 2 weeks of groceries for $30 as long as we stuck to the basics (this was in 1960). Anyway, I wrote down my name and address (I had already disconnected the phone to save $$) and the kind woman gave me $30 in cash and a lovely smile. She did not make me feel humiliated....I just felt humbled by her kindness.

The tables are fairly well maintained. They need to be cleaned, trimmed and leveled, but they are decent. The food is passable for "bar food". The ambiance is even quite nice. The management is the worst I have seen. Ever. In the middle of summer, with a full hall, the air conditioning is turned off to the billiards area, but not to the cash register. There were extremely young children in the billiards area (not older than 5) playing, running around, throwing balls, and tripping other players... at 11:30 PM. Go find a nice bar table and save money and frustration. It could have been great, but the management is garbage. If you don't actually like pool... have a blast, neither do the people who own the facility.
