I'd rather sleep in my car than spend another night at this hotel. The first room we were assigned had pubic hairs, as well as long human hair all over the pillows and the bathroom. This almost made the exposed electrical wires in the wall seem like not such a big deal.

When we let the front desk know, they assigned us to another room. We were on our way out for the evening and assumed this was just a fluke, so we didn't bother checking our second room until we returned later that night. It was a fun surprise to find that the key they gave us for this new room did not work.

Although he was exhausted from a very long day of driving, my boyfriend went to retrieve a new key from the front desk. It wasn't until he returned with a key that DID unlock our door that I realized the room is under my name, not his, and he was given this key without question. The fact that anyone can easily get a key to any room did not instill a sense of security in me, but at this point I was happy just to have a pube free pillow. Until....

3:00 in the morning I was awoken by someone trying to get into our room. Thank goodness we had our deadbolt on because it turns out the person at the front desk (his name was Elijah) checked someone else into our room and had given them a key!

The icing on this horrifying experience was when Elijah was not only unapologetic, but flat out rude when I asked how someone got a key to our room. It was clearly his mistake but he assured me it's not a big deal and happens all the time! Lovely.
