Once I met with the Finance Manager, Lorenzo Sanchez, the superb customer service continued where Bobby Custodio left off. Mr. Sanchez explained what offers were available to me and ensured that I chose one that best accommodated my financial needs. He's a phenomenal negotiator and will ensure that you get the best possible offer on the table. Brown's Alexandria Mazda made my car buying experience a pleasurable one! From the moment you enter the dealership, you'll be greeted by people who truly care about your needs. My wife and I have purchased 2 new BMWs from BMW of Alexandria, and I have nothing but compliments for this dealership. For me a $60K car purchase is a pretty big purchase, so I shopped all over the Washington DC area visiting Fairfax, Silver Spring, and even Baltimore before buying my well accessorized BMW M sport 335. Already knowing the best prices ranges when I walked into BMW of Alexandria and met Habil for the first time, I was surprised to be offered a very fair deal, and felt no pressure to buy the car I wanted. Over the past 5 years follwong my first purchase I have gotten to know Habil our salesperson a little better, and had no reservations taking my wife in when she was ready to buy a new BMW SUV.I have come to realize that Bob Hammersley the service manager is a BMW enthusiast himself, and he is very knowledgeable and he and his team have many years of BMW service experience. My wife's car is still new and has been trouble free, but my 335 did have a nagging service engine soon (SES) light issue that was not resolved the first time the car was serviced. After speaking with Bob I was confident that his team was in contact with the BMW USA service staff, and would find the source of the SES problem. In the end, they took car of the problem, and although my car was just out of warranty, they covered the majority of the cost under the BMW "Good Will" program, and of course provided a BMW loaner while my car was being serviced. I know if I decide to buy another BMW, I will be visiting BMW of Alexandria.
I seriously don't understand the haters writing about this place. I have gone here for years now (including recently, and I have seen no change from mom-and-pop to horrible new management mentioned below), and I have never once had a bad experience. I have found them to be FARRRRRR less expensive than the competition, fast, efficient, reliable, and kind. They open early, close late, are in the middle of Old Town, are close to Braddock Road, and make me feel completely safe trusting them with my vehicle--without charging a ton. I've never used them for U-Haul service, so I can't attest to that, but I have never waited more than a couple of minutes to get someone helping me, and the work done on my car rarely has taken more than a day. They don't push you to get extra work done, don't charge obscene rates for labor, and always make me feel like I am getting the best service at the fairest cost. Highly recommend them.
I am happy with the work Chester of Wick's repair did for me.I bought a used 1986 Snapper 3311 riding mower for $200, with the idea I would need repairs. I had it delivered to Wicks, and asked for an estimate before any work would be done. They have a $150 fee which is applied to repairs for diagnostics. While I was not happy about that charge, I wound up using it to get my mower fixed.They had to rebuilt the top end of the motor and do the valves, and my price for that with some other minor things was under $300, which I felt was fair due to the amount of the work needed. I can say the motor runs great and started easily after Chester worked on it.I brought my mower to them in the middle of busy season (mid June), and I can say they had it fixed and ready within 10 days, which I thought was amazing for this time of yearI am happy, I felt like they were honest and their repair work was very good.David
Amazing. As a female, I always feel I'm going to be taken when it comes to car repairs. I needed a "30k mile services" as recommended by my automaker. I called the dealership and they wanted $510. I called another place I often use and they wanted $329.99. Price quote was $96.50. That was to look at the car on a diagnostic machine, change the oil and any other filters as needed. Total bill $137 and some change. They also identified a serious problem with my steering gear (leaking), quoted me about $800 for the repair, but instead of telling me they needed to fix it...they told me to take it to the dealership. Even though my car is 4,000 miles past the warranty limit, they said, "Go back to the dealership because that shouldn't break." Thanks. Thanks for being honest and for giving me good guidance.
I made the switch to synthetic a while back due to frequent road trips and I know a change is more expensive for synthetic than regular so I called a few shops in the area to get a decent price. I called this shop and couldn't believe it'd be only $60! Then I got to the shop... I was told at the shop no it would be $75. I mentioned being told over the phone the price and was told that I was told the wrong price. The price was comprable to what I was quoted elsewhere so I stayed. When they were done I looked at the receipt..$86. The cashier asked why I looked upset, that I had been given a 10% discount. I explained that I was quoted 60 then 75 now it was 86. I was told the cashiers don't really know the prices the mechanics make them. Pretty sure that's an important thing for a cashier to know. I won't be back
I bought a new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland from Ourisman Jeep. They couldn't believe how well kept my trade in was and alleged unreported repairs had been done to my BMW M3 convertible. They initially low balled my car despite the low mileage and great condition. After showing them my three ring binder of fuel and service receipts they began to believe their eyes and me. Service since then (August 2011) has been without incident, although they have been slow to get the parts for a recall on the brake booster.I'd probably go back to them if I was interested in buying another Jeep, I'd just be ready for the same doubting sales manager as before. By the way, the salesman who I bought my Jeep from bought my M3 from the dealership because it was such great shape.
I am a broke college student and have a pretty old car. There was a noise coming from it so I got it checked at my local mechanic. He told me I needed a big part replaced and it would cost me $800 to fix. I wanted to get a second opinion so I went to SK Auto because I saw a flier on my car. The mechanic at SK Auto checked my car and said it only needed some broken springs replaced which would cost me less than $100. They fixed the car in less than an hour and the noise stopped. These guys really know what they're doing and do a detailed diagnosis rather than a rushing to conclusions like other places. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who doesn't want to get ripped off and wants good customer service and a job well done.
This summer my AC compressor broke. And as I suspected all the local car mechanics took advantage of my situation and quoted me ridiculously high prices. As a last resort (per one of my co workers referral) I stopped by here to check out the prices. As soon as I walked in and told Muhammad my AC broke and he saw I was sweating in the summer heat he ran to his office and got me a cold water bottle. I was so blown away by that gesture. I told him I was a full time student and was on a tight budget, so please be reasonable with me. He told he would whatever he could to get me the lowest prices. At the end, he gave me a student discount and got me a new compressor.
We went to a Chev dealer that told us we needed all kinds of work done almost $2000 of work to fix our truck. We went in to Tony's and spoke with Mike! I explained everything to Mike and he told me let us take a look at the truck. They fixed the problem for $600. All of the other work that the dealer said needed to be done was not true!!! Dealers are a ripe off! Tony's stood behind there work when the part was defective and replaced it again with no problem! Mike was very helpful and great customer service. People please remember they are a good shop, so it may take a little longer, but at least they do a good job and stand behind there work!
