Zion Baptist Church began as a small group of believers who were searching for a Bible-preaching, conservative local church. In early 2008, the group met together weekly praying for God's will. Our desire was to be a part of a church that preached the Gospel, strengthened families, supported missionaries, and encouraged holy living. God gave us peace and direction to move forward with the work. He also provided us with a pastor and a place to meet. Zion Baptist Church held its first church service on March 2, 2008. Since then, we have moved to a larger facility and have enjoyed the blessings of serving the Lord together. Our Staff Pastor Seth Hohenstreet has served as our pastor since the beginning of our church. He is bi-vocational and works full-time as a lieutenant for Kootenai County Fire and Rescue. He is married to Beth and has three children. Associate Pastor Vance Rice serves as the teacher for our adult Sunday school and various children's classes, and often preaches for the worship services as well. He is bi-vocational and works full-time for the Lakeland School district. He is married to Jennifer and has two children.
