I've ordered form this restaurant many times for my family. I order for myself my total came to 9.99 before taxes and 13.89 after taxes because my total wasn't 10.00 they refuse to deliver. One penny made that much of a difference to loyal paying customers. I would never eat nor order from them again and would discourage others to do the same. Customers don't matter pennies do. So sad 1 cent
I ordered a platter that included wings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings for an event at my job. The platter was advertised to feed 18 to 20 people. When we received the platter, it came with about 15 wings, 8 chicken tenders, 8 mozzarella sticks, and 6 onion rings. When I called Paradise Pizzeria back to complain about the party platter we received that did not nearly feed 18 people, they said they will bring another platter that would equal out to 20 pieces of each food item. So, there serving size for each person was 1 chicken wing, 1 mozzarella stick, 1 onion ring, and 1 chicken tender. Everyone at the event did not get to eat with everyone else, they had to wait for the second platter to arrive 30 minutes later. For this huge inconvenience, they offered me a 10 dollar credit for the store and the manager told me, "Take it or leave it." I paid 59 dollars for this platter!!! Everyone at my job was shocked that I paid 59 dollars for this tiny platter. Unbelievable. And the manager was so rude and disrespectful.
We've missed Ray's off of George Washington for several years and the Soprano's in Newport News for great strombolis. Unfortunatey, they both went out of business. So, after a nice bike ride, we decided to try Sals. Yep, it's a real off- NYC, Mom Pop pizza place. The family size stromboli made an extra take home meal for the two of us and it was fantastic. We tried the chicken, mushroom, green pepper version. We agreed to return to try their pizza or take advantage of their delivery service. I'm really pleased we have such an authentic NY pizza place in Portsmouth.
Best pizza you will find for miles! I will never go to another pizza place as long as I live in this area!
Dominos is a chain so the food should be the same no matter where you order from but surprisingly not... the pizza is never made fresh... always reheated. And to top it off, the customer service is terrrible. Everything you order comes with a free side of ATTITUDE. And the drivers are always sketchy, they always look stoned or they might shank you or something and they tend to pocket the soda you paid for for themselves.
Ok I was told this was an awsome place... Real Italians making my pie it was terrible too much mozzarella too much sauce, I was told this was real NEW YORK Pizza... NO WAY! The next night I asked my hotel guy where could I get some good pie? he said a diffrent place some fat dude made it and asked me if I wanted it cooked like the bronx or brooklin? I said "Brooklin dark" and thats what I got. I went up to him and told him I liked his pie and asked him where he learned to make pizza, he said Atlanta GA... shame on you Eastside best pizza in Portsmouth is from Georgia.
