Affordable ride share great driver
I was so disappointed in this "taxi" company. The same as another Yelper I reserved a cab for 5:30 am for the airport. They never showed up. I called the office - no answer. I drove myself there and parked in econ parking I saved 60 bucks on cab fare! Do not bother to call the taxi - rotten service.
Very fast, freindly, and reliable. Not your average boring cab company. Great dispatchers and employees. Drivers dont take the long senic route to make an extra dollar.
Do not reccomendation. Owner tends to have anger issues., at times verbally abusive. Rates went up without prior notification, does not give receipts.
I used this cab company last night to go from the airport to my home. 18 miles. My driver evidently could not speak English, or use his GPS, I had to enter my own address, did not offer me a receipt or a senior discount, nor did he know how to use the credit card reader, and I had to ask for my luggage from the trunk. The driver could not tell me that the advertisement showing in the car at the time I was in it was a coupon for $10.00 off your first ride was for another company! But he could tell me that I only left him 5 cents for a tip! Also beware of how they charge you. If you get in the cab at the airport instead of costing $2.50 (like their web site says) it cost $5.00 just to start their engine at the airport then they say it cost $2.60 per mile! I don't care how you multiply $2.60 times the 18 miles I was driven plus oh ya the $5.00 to start the engine it does not add up to what I was charged. The gal that answered the phone when I called to ask for a receipt this morning said she was the manager of something. She talked over me and didn't want to listen to me even when I asked her to. She also pointed out to me that I was confused about everything!If I had a company that depended on customer service I think I would hire people that could handle complaints instead of blaming the person calling in the complaint. Anyway I will never use this cab company again and will tell everyone I know how bad this company is. If their people and charging equipment are defective how do they take care of their vehicles? I would give them a ZERO rating but that option is not available.
Today, Tuesday August 25th, 2015 at 3:27pm one of your cab drivers parked in the middle of the street in front of the Embassy Suites Hotel in downtown Portland for about five minutes! The car license number was 004-HNC and was from your cab company. The driver was a woman with medium long black hair. The hotel is on SW Pine Street, between SW 4th and SW 3rd. She blocked traffic completely for about five minutes because she was right in the middle of the lane of traffic! A couple was getting out of the cab with their luggage. She was really slow, and did not care that traffic was backed up for blocks!!! I honked my car horn to let her know there was a long line of cars waiting to drive down SW Pine Street. She just looked at me and deliberately moved even slower while looking at me!!! There was a wide driveway in front of a rarely used small parking garage by the car rental company, right across from the hotel. If she had pulled in here instead of parking in the middle of SW Pine Street, she would not have completely stopped all traffic!! I honked yet again, and she looked at me again, and moved even slower!!!!! This employee is not a good representative for your company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We scheduled a pick up, two weeks in advance. The taxi was scheduled for 6:30 pm to take us to the Garth Brooks concert, since we are out of towners. And didn't want to drive our car. 6:45 pm I called radio cab. They said the reservation was not a guarantee time (REALLY??). At 7:15 pm we decided to drive our car. We got a call from the driver at 7:35 pm saying he was at the pick up address. We didn't go back to have him take us to the show. We ended up missing the first twenty minutes of the concert. We had to park 10 block's away!
If you definitely need to be somewhere at a particular time, this might not be the cab company for you. I reserved a cab for a particular time, the day before we needed a ride. I followed up with a call 15 minutes prior to the appointed pick up time, to be assured that the cab was 2 minutes out. The cab never arrived, and subsequent calls went to a voice mail system (we waitied 35 minutes after our appointed pick up time) . We received no phone calls from the company. Fortunately we found a cab and got to our event, but this was terrible customer service in my opinion.
We made a reservation for a taxi two weeks prior to the event. We recently stayed at the Portland White house B & B. We were attending the Garth Brooks concert. We had reserved the taxi for 6:30p.m. pick up from the B&B. At 6:45p.m. I called to see where they were. The dispatcher said that the "reservation" was not a fore sure time they were going to be there, really? We ended up driving our own car to the concert. We received a call from the Taxi driver that he was at the B&B at 7:30p.m (when the concert was due to start)!Not a very reliable company!
