A gem in North Portland!

We have never had less than an excellent experience at Tuk Tuk on Lombard.

First of all, the food is outstanding. Our favorites are the Pad Kee Mao, the Green Ocean, any of the superb curries, and, of course, the Pad Thai - found here at its rare best.

Prices are very reasonable.

The portions are generous and the ingredients are fresh. They never skimp on the best ingredients, either. The Green Ocean has more seafood than veggies!
BTW, don't miss the enormous and succulent scallops.

It will be hard, but try to save room for the fresh mango with sticky rice for dessert. When the mangoes are in season, this is highly recommended.

The service is usually fast and the staff are friendly and engaging. They have a brisk take-out business to contend with, but the wait is rarely long at all.

Our favorite place in North Portland, by a mile.

Yum!

I've been to Tuk Tuk five times and the food never disappoints. Our favorites are the flaming beef, cashew chicken, and pad thai. Mom even proclaimed it her new favorite Thai restaurant in North Portland. Prices are moderate, but the portions are good. We always have boxes to go. There is only one waiter, so if there are several full tables, the wait at the table for drinks, ordering food, and paying the check can be on the long side, but worth it.
