Provided by Citysearch -I went in with an emergency abscess last week, during the worst snow storm in 30 years. They saw me in two hours from my initial call to them. The doctor explained exactly everything wrong with my tooth and other teeth, and showed me all the details on my x-rays as well as onscreen with a tiny video camera in my mouth. He didn't try to upsell me on stuff I didn't want/need, but listened to me and knew exactly what would be best for me that I could afford.
Dr. Ward and his staff are so friendly and sweet, and concerned with my pain and finances at every turn. I couldn't be happier with Interstate Dental. I need a bridge on the bottom side of my mouth, wanted implants, but couldn't afford the $6k OHSU wanted for 3 of them. (What they said I'd need.) Dr. Ward wanted me to have the best bite I could afford, not just cosmetically, but technologically and comfort-wise as well. He designed a plan of treatment that only required one implant and a bridge, and saved the bad tooth. Previous dentist was telling me it was either 3 implants and 2 bridges or a removeable denture and they pulled the teeth.
Dr. Ward knew what he was talking about, and came up with the perfect care plan for my teeth and my wallet. I will be going here from now on, and hava already sent for my records from my previous dentist.

Provided by Citysearch -I took my 10yr old then my 3 yr old. The hygenist did a great job making both of them enjoy their trip to the dentist and cleaning. It is SO IMPORTANT at this age that they do not develop a fear of the dentist, so I was really happy when the hygenist took her time to show my 3yr old all the tools she was going to use and how they worked. She did it in a silly, fun way that my girls loved. When they were done, the dentist, Dr. Ward told them how great they were and that their teeth were beautiful. He showed me my 10yr old's cavity on a large tv screen in the office so I saw what they were talking about.
They also have a treasure chest of goodies that the girls got to get into after their cleaning. Toys are always a great bribery tactic for kids. AND THEY HAVE SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS. A must for working moms.

Provided by Citysearch -After walking home in the cold, wasting two hours of my time, losing 90 dollars, and being treated rudely for nothing, I'd like to give others a heads up! Very nice on the phone- I called to ask about getting a wisdom tooth pulled. They told me that because I was a new customer I would get a free 'consulation' and that they could tell me how much it would cost after that. After taking and arranging three days off of work and a ride to and from the appointment, I showed up to get my tooth pulled. At that point, they said that it wouldn't be pulled today despite our long conversation about getting the exam and the tooth pulled at the same time. Ok Strike I. Then, the 'consulation' consisted of her reiterating the reasons to me why I was there. The exam Suprise Suprise cost 90! Well, ok they were nice and I felt comfortable, so I payed it. Strike 2. My appointment was at eleven. I didn't get into a dentist chair until 1145. Strike 3. They took an x ray without putting on the xray bib. Strike 4. I waited until 1230 when they told me it was going to cost five hundred dollars to get a single tooth pulled. Strike 5. At this point I'm thoroughly annoyed because several places assured me that even a complicated pull should not cost more than 300. The guys are total scammers. And to top things off, as I'm leaving to walk home since now I didn't have a ride because of their unprofessionalism, the receptionist makes a snide remark as I walk out the door. I don't know how they stay in business! I called gentle dental and they did the work for 108 dollars plus a 54 dollar exam fee. Save your time and money and go somewhere else! Rude, Expensive and Inconsiderate!
