A fall from grace. The staff are basically children. It is hit or miss with the service, and more often than not a total miss. Come in with a group of 8 and they will serve you well expecting a colossal tip. Typical kid-logic. The food isn't even good anymore. They add too much oil to everything, but in America that sells. It just isn't good cuisine.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! POOR SERVICE!! Tried to go here on Sat night to celebrate my me and boyfriends birthdays.... We were told to have a seat to wait while they cleared off some tables. While we were waiting, a party of 2 came in with no reservation, and they were seated right away. Then a party of 4 came in with no reservation and were also seated right away, while we were still waiting to be seated.
Both the host and hostess were aware that we were waiting to be seated but did nothing. I then asked to speak to the manager, who when I explained what happened, the first words out of his mouth were, ""well how many are you?"" Instead of an apology right away. I said there are only 2 of us, but we werent going to be staying there after being treated the way we were.
The manager did a very poor job of expressing his concern for the poor service, and hardly managed to blurt out an apology to us on our way out. WILL NOT BE GOING HERE AGAIN!! WILL TELL ANYONE WHO ASKS TO STAY AWAY!!

Love the place. Food is terrific at a great price. Pizza is the best in town. Can't beat the service, always friendly and fast. Joe and Linda (owners) are usually on the premises and are always friendly and make you feel like you are part of this family operation. Would highly recommend. No need to plan dinner the next day as you will always have leftovers to take home due to the large portions. The complimentary antipasto is a great touch and always fresh. Go for lunch or dinner, it's always delicious.

Guiseppe's is a great Italian restaurant. Their food is truly excellent and their service matches.
They do not skimp on cheese and meats on their pizzas.
Also, when they say that their ""small"" pizza feeds 3-4 people, they aren't joking. Expect leftovers.

It's a shame I have to give this place only two stars, because the food really is tasty. I simply cannot condone the prices. Two pizza's should not cost over forty seven dollars, plain and simple. It isn't as if they're putting truffles in the sauce or gold flakes in the dough. It's pizza... at a completely ridiculous price. Oddly enough the main menu food item prices are a tiny bit more reasonable, but still leagues above what they should be.
Sadly, we won't be going back. Flying Pie's the way to go for us from now on. Even better ""boutique"" pies at a much more reasonable price.

I had veal parmigianna yesterday for lunch at Giuseppe's, one of the few decent restaurants in the east Portland/Gresham area. It was great and it is one of my favorite dishes at Giuseppe's, always fresh, always cheesy, always consistent, great tasting veal. I have been eating at Giuseppe's since it opened (I think back in 86). I am American born and of Italian decent, having the privilege of visiting Italy only once. The reason I mention this is because I get a kick out of reading some of the reviews on this page challenging the Italian authenticity of some of Giuseppe's dishes. I grew up learning that there are at least 13 different dialects spoken throughout Italy’s multitude of provinces/regions from Calabrese to Milanese, each varying in culture and menu. I highly recommend Giuseppe's for good food and a fun time. Along with the veal I especially enjoy the lasagna, spaghetti carbonara and chicken fettuccini Giuseppe's.
