We contacted Dick Hannah Volkswagen and Hyundai through the internet and Travis Dusenberry answered our online email and called us by telephone to follow up. We set up a visit to test drive a new Santa Fe. He was very helpful and answered all of our questions. They met our price range and we purchased the vehicle that we wanted. He spent a lot of time instructing us on the features on the Santa Fe which was VERY helpful. Everything went very smooth and we would deffinately reccomend Travis to friends and family.

We walked out of Dick Hannah with what we thought was a great deal on a 2009 used car with low miles. We even bought an extended warranty which we though would be prudent. It seemed like a great deal form what the sales person told us. We were wrong! The car's check engine light went on less than 3,000mi after driving it off of the lot. Everything is fine right because we have two warranties? Wrong! First of all the dealership sales staff told my wife that the car had a 1 year limited certified warranty via the dealership. That should cover some of the mechanical repair? Wrong! It has a warranty on ONLY the durable parts like windshield wiper blades and nothing mechanical in the car. This is LIE NUMBER ONE! Second we were told that our extended ""bumper to bumper"" 7 year, 75,000 mile warranty could be used at ANY dealership of the same make of the car IF we lived more than 50 mi from Dick Hannah. Well, we do live more than 50 miles from Dick Hannah and took it to a dealership for repairs and low and behold, the work would not be completely covered and we had to pay for repairs because the warranty only covers repairs at Dick Hannah! WTF! Seriously?! What is the point of lying? My wife does not get angry easily, but she was livid. LIE NUMBER TWO! So we thought we could clarify the situation and called the Dick Hannah dealership to get clarification on our ""double"" warranties. We called 5+ times over 16 days and finally when we got a hold of someone in finance, they said, ""well you should have read the website"" regarding these warranties. Oh REALLY? When I am making a $20,000+ purchase I would expect some straight forward and accurate facts so I can make an informed decision. LIES or even half truths are what make people upset, frustrated, and angry. So what have we learned from all of this? Do NOT go to Dick Hannah to buy a car because they will tell you anything, including LIES to get you to sign on the line to buy a vehicle! We will never go back to Dick Hannah, and we have an will tell all our friends about this experience!!!

I have to admit that I was skeptical to when I took my car in to be serviced, the new service area looked like one of those really expenses places. When Sarah called and told me what was wrong and how much it would cost, I did a little calling around seeing if I could get it some place else for a cheaper price. I guarantee you will not. These people are more than fair. I needed new front brakes and they charged me at least $50.00 less than the competitors. They also had a reward program so I got a a credit of 10% to use towards my next purchase I honestly don't know of any other place that offers those kid of incentives. I will be taking my car there for all major services as well as the regular maintenance too! Thanks for doing such a good job!

I needed a new new car, ASAP, before the school year started. The salesman I worked with, made the entire process easy and relaxed with zero pressure. I now have a great car, perfect for picking my kids up from school, taking them to piano practice, and going to the grocery store. Thank you Noe Galvez for making this purchase easy.

I have been taking my 2003 Volkswagen Passat to Dick Hannah for service since I purchased it in 2008. They always get my car in quickly and provide great service. Sarah in the service department is always friendly and knowledgeable. I will continue taking my car to them as long as I own it.

Tan Nguyen made the purchase of our new Hyundai Elantra Limited a positive experience instead of a grinding ordeal. Over the phone and through the Internet he asked questions to gain an understanding of what we thought we were interested in. He then provided us with several quotes for different Hyundai models and their trim levels. He set an appointment time convenient for us to meet and was prepared to show us the same models he had quoted us. He encouraged us to experience the different models by driving and examining their differences. He placed the cars beside each other to ease transition between vehicles. Once we had made our decision he facilitated the paperwork with no surprise fees, add ons, or stress inducing pressure. He listened, was attentive and considerate, answered every question, and maintained his sense of humor. We made a friend yesterday. When the time comes to buy another car, we will go back to Dick Hannah and work with our friend Tan.

Be sure to ask for Justin Brainerd when you head in to Dick Hannah's Hyundai of Portland. We had done our research about the car and the dealership, but found out, there was so much more we did not know. Justin took his time and explained everything to us. We had a list of cars we wanted to see and we found out that the Elantra had everything we wanted in a luxury car at a compact price. No need to look further. Awesome salesman and Awesome car. Thanks Justin for making our choice easy.

I have purchased a few cars in my past, only to learn that I had been played by the typical sales man con. I went to Dick Hannah with my armor on, prepared to battle, but there was no need. From the first phone call to Brandon, to the signing detailed from Tan and Brandon, the two worked with me to get exactly what I wanted, at the price I could afford. I would go back for another vehicle, but no need because I got my dream car!

We were in Portland visiting family when we decided to stop and take a look at Sonatas at Dick Hannah. We were greated by Betsy Anderson. What an awesome lady! (and salesperson!) She made the whole experience relaxed and pressure free. We were able to take our time looking and deciding what vehicle we wanted and when it came time to deal it seemed like it only took minutes! Betsy is down to earth and made the whole experience enjoyable. We will be recommending Betsy and DIck Hannah to all of our friends and family!

Horrible horrible horrible horrible service!!!!
Made an appointment to get warranty service done, explained while making the appointment the issue, took my Touareg in 4 days later (enough time to order the needed part and by the way this is not a convenient location, but the closest VW dealership) made the service person check to see if they indeed had the part in stock before making the long trek back on the MAX (this has happened before with them) just to find out they didn't have the part. Service person said would order and would be in 3 days later.
Two weeks later...no call, called to find out the status and they had no record of anything except the car had been brought in for service on the original appointment date, but would check on it and call back. Two days later and again nothing! Unfortunately, because the work is under warranty, they or another dealership have to do the work.
So needless to say I won't be getting another Volkswagen if this is the type of service I have to deal with and for the price of a Tourareg, I'll get myself a BMW, not that I prefer one, but service will definitely be my first priority when purchasing my next car!
And if Dick Hannah's sales people are anything like their service people I would NEVER buy a car from Dick Hannah!
I am one of those people that hate shopping for cars and im on the market for a new automoble, and doing the unthinkable and putting myself into the hands of auto dealers. i had a sales lady Betsy Anderson came up to me and she was so nice and helpful she totally changed how i feel about shopping for cars, if your on the market for a new car go see Betsy Anderson at Hannah Hyundai/vw
I came into Dick Hannah expecting to get the typical car buying experience. Dick Hannah was anything but that!
I knew as soon as I met my salesman that the pressure to BUY BUY BUY was off. Justin Brainerd was knowledgeable, friendly, and offered a genuine smile. He took his time finding us the car we came looking for, taught us plenty about our car, and didn't pressure us one bit. All this AND we got a great deal. (I know because my wife did months of research)
Justin did an AWESOME job helping me and my family a long our path to finding the perfect car. Mike Roll and Christina helped us with the paperwork and were wonderfully pleasant.
Consider me a costumer for life!

Me and my family was looking for a second car and after looking around the Portland area at all sorts of makes and models we decided the best fit was a VW GTI (fun, practical and good MPG)! I did my research on what was a good price, called Dick Hannah, made a fair offer and they accepted it :) Went in same day, paid and drove away - IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN EASIER.
All the sales people and the management were friendly and non-pushy, and their attention to the customer was excellent. I got a nice call the next day to see if all was well :)

I just bought a car from Dick Hannah / Hyundai of Portland, and had such a good experience (yes, with a CAR DEALER!) that I have signed up with CitySearch just to write this review.
After driving nearly a dozen different cars over the last couple weeks at nearly as many dealerships, settling on the Elantra Touring as our car of choice and negotiating on price with several other dealers (getting it down to well under MSRP), we stopped in at Hannah.
As it turned out they were the only dealer in town with the exact car we wanted in the color we wanted, and after the barest minimum of negotiation they matched the lowest price we'd already bargained for elsewhere.
Betsy was friendly, pleasant and one of the least pushy salespeople I've ever dealt with. There was no haggling to speak of, no pressure tactics, no hassles. Even the dreaded ""business office"" didn't push the dealer add-ons very hard. Overall they made it as easy as buying a car could possibly be. We drove off the lot happy, having gotten exactly the car we wanted for exactly what we wanted to pay.

The typical car buying experience is one my wife and I would gladly replace with a trip to the dentist. We were lucky enough to meet Gary who showed us you can have a great experience when buying a car....just make sure you buy it from Gary at Dick Hannah Hyundai !! Having Tan as an enthusiastic knowledgeable funny honest purveyor of Hyundai strengths and virtues. We'd done some homework on the car we were interested and liked the driving experience. The process was, at times, fun.
We then had a change of heart about features and options after getting home with our new car. We called the next morning and spoke with Don as Tan was unavailable. Within 24 hours, we had the car we wanted. Don is a sales manager and very good and forthright at what does.
It was probably our most enjoyable auto purchase experience. Tan and Don
are a team we enjoyed working with and highly recommend.

Hubby and I went in to Dick Hannah hoping to trade in our 2006 VW Beetle for a new Beetle. We drove away with a 2011 VW Jetta and couldn't be happier.
The staff, especially Ketorie, were wonderful and helpful to make sure we left with a good deal and a shiny new car. They worked around our budget and credit. And even though we spent about three hours there, it felt like 15 minutes.
We will be back.
