RUDE OWNER! I was just there and the "Owner" a man called me a B** and told me to F* OFF. So here's how that went down. I go there every week and order my favorite, Chicken Shawarma Sandwhich and typically it's a super nice lady that works there, who suggested on my first ever order that I can order it with no spicy sauce as I can't have anything spicy. So today 3/22/17 I order same as always and request no spicy sauce on it, the man acknowledges this. I get back to my office with it, try to eat it and find it has sriracha sauce on it. So I walked all the way back and said "excuse me, sorry to bother you, when I ordered I asked for not spicy sauce, but it got it anyways: he interrupted and argued that the sauce (sriracha sc) wasn't spicy(hell ya it is!) so I replied polity that it was very spicy to me and I my mouth was burning, that I order it weekly with a lady that's there no problem. I was hoping to just have it remade. He handed me back my money and tried to shoo me away. I looked at him confused and said that wasn't what I wanted. I like the food, I just can't eat spicy sauce, I still wanted my lunch. As I walked away he hollered at me calling me a stupid B**CH. I walked back of course and said, excuse me, I heard that and said I would be telling the lady I usually saw. He responded by telling me to F**ck off and called me a stupid B**CH, that he didn't care because he was the owner. At this point I was so upset at being so greatly mistreated over his error I naturally said F** You right back and walked away, with no lunch and late from my lunch break too, which cost me money. I will no longer go here, and now all of my coworkers at the huge hotel I work at will officially tell our guests not to come here as well.
I found the Portland store's help to not be real helpful, so I switched to the Eugene store. Super people there, I doubt any one would have any complaints there. The 5 star rating is for Eugene, not Portland.
been here many times and sadly poor service, rude workers, and lack of care and concern are the norm so basically if I need anything there it is get there early and know exactly what I want, find it, buy it and get out. Nature of the beast - they are about the only place to get the stuff they do and they aren't going to change anytime soon - been this way for 20+ years. Its here or take your chances online or from Tandy which is hit and miss and sadly not much better - must be a leather thing.
Best falafel I have ever had! Samir and his wife were very kind and accomadating. They even offered up free samples. My friend got the shwarma and it was fantastic! Very kind staff, delisiocus and reasonably priced food. I will be back again soon.
I needed some leather for a car project. My upholstery guy suggested I go here and shop for what I wanted. The guy was pretty unresponsive to my wanderings, and when I finally got his attention, it was as if he was annoyed with me because I wasn't asking him the right questions. I was completely new to this, and he kinda barked at me like I was stupid for not knowing how leather is measured, rolled, sold, etc... It takes a lot to get me annoyed, but this guy has NO customer service skills, in my opinion. I did not buy anything there!
