Jackie Nguyen, M.D. is a Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Eyecare Medical Group in Portland, Maine, who specializes in the treatment of Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Retinal Vascular Occlusions, Retinal Detachment, Macular Holes, and Macular Pucker. Dr. Nguyen earned her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine followed by a Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She then completed fellowships in Medical Retina at the University of Miami Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and Vitreoretinal Surgery at Tufts Medical Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Nguyen is experienced in the most advanced retinal treatments and surgical techniques. She has participated in many national clinical trials for the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. Dr. Nguyen lives with her husband and two children in Freeport.
