In response to Kate S., Upscale was informed of the dry rot after the customer was told of that issue, from the carpet company and continued to have the 35' runner cut and re-bound into different sized area rugs. It was her choice to alter the area rug after the rug co. told her of the dry rot (which was a normal thing that happens to rubber backed area rugs). How are we supposed to refund her money after she's altered a piece that a consignor has put in our store to sell. I can't give back an item, to a consignor, that is not in the same condition they consigned it in. And as far as us re-selling the item, it was in great condition and the backing issue would have been disclosed, as a new customer would have no issue using it in a 3 season porch or a covered entrance. Sometimes all the details of a transaction are not completely disclosed. Seller beware...customers don't always take responsibility in the choices they make. 3 sides to every story...your side, my side and the truth! Make sure you state all the facts before posting a negative comment about a ethical retail store!
I love Upscale Consignment ~ I shop there when I need something really classy or for a beautiful antique! I am a very satisfied customer! I have been going to Upscale for over 10 years now for my special pieces! Their reputation speaks for itself, impeccable and professional... great prices as well!
A great place to shop for furniture items. They have a huge selection of new and previously owned pieces. Consignment items are especially budget friendly. Helpful and friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend checking it out.
