Best spot in Portland. Great atmosphere, staff, service, food, etc... no better spot to enjoy a meal outside on the water front in the summer.
The food and atmosphere are delightful. Portions are huge, staff is friendly highly recommend it . Great choice.
We had the lobster role and haddock chowder. The lobster role was filled with meaty pieces and rested on a butter role. We ended meal with a piece of blueberry pie. Good value and delicious food.
I waited over an hour for an egg breakfast sandwich. There wasn't even a rush and all I saw were plated being sent back to the kitchen. Two people behind the counter even brought it to the manager/owner's attention that I was still waiting and she only looked at me. She never apologized, tried to explain or compensate for me waiting there for an English muffin with ham cheese and egg that I could've made 50 of in the same time. I had even finished my coffee by the time it finally came out. And it wasn't even good. I was severely disappointed. I've had salads and baked goods from there as well which were all bland or very dry. I would not recommend it.
My husband and I dine here regularly. It's our go to place, we know we will never be disappointed. It is a busy place, and it can be loud but the service and the food is exceptional! My husband and I frequently show up a half hour before they stop serving (we work very late), and they are always accommodating and welcoming.
No longer in business. Have to go to so portland.
I just moved to Portland and my family came to visit for a weekend. We ordered simple sandwiches and had some beers during our hour plus wait. We are very patient people so waited until over an hour to inquire about our food. Our server told us there was a big party in front of us and they had a small kitchen. A few minutes later he was back with our food and everything was lukewarm at best. The small kitchen was not the problem, he had clearly forgotten about our food. He offered to reheat everything for us and we said no. He brought over a manager and she ALSO offered to reheat our food. My dad said no. He said we would just pay for our drinks and leave. It took them a while to get us our check for just the drinks. When he went to talk to management she said "what more could we have done" to which he replied "cook us new food." She said "well you should have asked for that then." They did not take anything off our bill and we did not leave them a tip. Overall they do not know how to treat customers. If you want us to pay you need to give us something worth paying for. We went to GILBERT'S CHOWDER HOUSE from there and got AMAZING and quick service and food. We were SO hungry. Skip Dry Dock and head to this shoreline hot spot!
WE stopped by late with our unexpected guests, and had a great time. We are always treated good by the staff and the food is incredible each time.
Had a delicious lobster roll here. So much lobster in it, I could not believe it. I wanted to try the chowder, but it had bacon in it, so I opted out. The restaurant itself is pretty casual and works very well on the harbor. If you sit outside, you can see the boats and really get the experience. That made the atmosphere for me. Really enjoyed the food here, but it was a little more touristy than I expected.
