This school used to be great, in the past 2 years the quality has gone down significantly. The teachers went from all being over qualified to all being fresh out of highschool with no experience or Montessori training. They are more worried about making sure classes are full than actually teaching. The school is still clean and they are a decent 'day care' but they pride themselves on being a 'school.' They are nothing but a high priced daycare. There is nothing educational going on. I would say this is a good place to start your child, but pull them out and put them in an educational environment by age 3 or they will fall behind when they get to grade school!

Woodlands Montessori North is a great school with caring teachers and as expected a Montessori learning approach. They genuinely try to meet the needs of their students and help them succeed. I am a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and have been consulted numerous times by the administration to assist when a particular student is struggling due to developmental or sensory processing issues.
Hello, We received the following review for Peace & Play Preschool:---------- This took me a long time to write this because I didn't know what to say, but now it is time. My son started this preschool in January 2015. Now, just some background...Colin has hearing problems. He had surgery in August 2014 and just had to have it again in July 2015 so he was not hearing well and not speaking well either. At first it started off well, Colin liked to go to school and the teachers enjoyed him. Then one day, I was 3 minutes late picking up Colin. I know because as I pulled into the parking lot, it said 6:03pm. I was late from work and got there as fast as I could. I rushed in and immediately apologized to everyone. The director, Christina, then decided to reprimand me and yelled at me. I was shocked, but I knew I was in the wrong so I let it go. The next day, I picked up Colin and I was told that Colin was bad that day, was not given specifics and I just figured he had a bad day. Then the next day, I was told Colin was bad again, I asked for specifics and the teacher just said he wouldn't listen. My child had just turned 3 the previous October, so that is normal. It went on for about 2 weeks of that Colin was a bad kid, he wouldn't listen. I talked to Colin about it as best I could for a 3 year old and he just told me that he didn't like Miss Gladys and Miss Christina. Then one day another parent told me that her kid was told not to play with Colin because he was a bad kid. So I found out that Colin had no friends because the teachers told the other parent's kids not to play with Colin. I then knew I had to get Colin out of this school. I do not think it was against Colin, but against me because of being late or whatever this lady has a problem with me for. I had to take him one more time, because I had work, and then I was to find a new school, but they did the work for me and kicked him out of school telling me that my just turned 3 year old needed psychological /behavioral help and that he is "kind of like rainman" in the director's own words. Unbelievable. He couldn't hear well, the director had been informed of this also and his surgery and not being able to speak well because of that either, and ended up needing 2 surgeries. He is not rainman. Horrible school, horrible to the parents of this awesome kid who now goes to Ivy League preschool where he is on purple every day (which is the highest awesome level to be on), one of the highest in his class, teachers are helping with his speech and understanding that he is still working on hearing. He is doing so much better by the way with hearing, the surgeon did an awesome job. The other thing I would recommend before entering this school if you still decide to is to check out mugshots and do your research. You'll be surprised who you see on there. Words of warning. To top it off she then blocked me from being able to write a review of her school. Very unprofessional and immature. Maybe she's the 3 year old.
I must say my child has been attending woodlands for a year. And I love the hospitality me and my daughter get. Teachers, and staff as well as the director are very professional and friendly. I recommend woodlands without any hesitation.
Both of our children go to Woodlands and absolutely LOVE it there!! The staff is so friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. We actually have a few of the girls who work there babysit for us when we need it. I would highly recommend this school to anyone that needs childcare/school for their children. We moved from NJ and was recommended to to Woodlands and I'm so pleased with our choice to put both our children in the school. Ms. Diane the school's director is such a caring and wonderful woman and her daughter Ms. Kristin who works in the office with her mother to help run the facility is fantastic!! The two of them really have a wonderful enthusiasm towards the school and most of all the children that attend. Couldn't ask for a better place to send our children... we feel very safe and loved there!!!
My son has been coming to this school for Years and it seems as though the Director and her Daughter have disliked us the entire time. Talking down and disrespecting us every chance they have. Kristin (The Daughter) has had to have her own daughter removed from the school for misbehaving and fighting with other kids. Goes to show you they can't even control there own Daughter/ Granddaughter. STAY AWAY.
My daughter has been there for over a year and she likes the school and the teachers. They are friendly and listen to the needs of the parent. I feel comfortable as a parent to speak to the ladies in the office about any concerns
The owners and staff are professional, courteous and absolutely caring and loving of the children. Both of my children went to Woodlands Montessori. They are 10 & 12 now and are thriving academically and socially and I believe it started with the foundation set from Woodlands! I found it funny that the previous review did not respect privacy of others and did not use your personal info when leaving a comment. This is an excellent Montessori school both socially and academically! Most importantly, they truly care for your children:)
I called Global Learning Center on Darwin Blvd in Port St Lucie and asked the owner/director if they took children with Autism.... The woman replies in exact words... " WE DONT HAVE SPACE FOR THAT!"
