Dorsi's Bakery

Prices are EXTREME!!! Wanted to order a 8 inch birthday cake that looks like a cartoon character. Just Like they do to the cupcakes. Simple? No way $69 for a 8 inch cake. Oh yes their pastris are tasty but not made of gold.

Being that I grew up in Carteret for 8 years, my family and friends always went to Dorsi's Bakery. They have great pastries. I no longer live in Carteret but since I was getting married I decided to contact Dorsi's. Whenever I called the bakery, Steve was never there, I left several message for him and never received a call back. Because of the history of the bakery, I wanted to use Dorsi's so I called again and finally got Steve on the phone. We made an appointment and went in for a cake tasting. Everything went well, he gave us a quote. We went home and I still began searching for another quote to compare. I was on Dorsi's Bakery website and found a coupon on their website for 10% off any custom cake. Now a wedding cake, is a custom cake. I emailed Steve several times mentioning this coupon that I printed out from his own website. He never responded back. Don't get me wrong, they have delicious pastries, but their customer service is horrible. I would never recommend them for a wedding cake. I guess in the end, he'd rather lose the business of a wedding cake, than honor the coupon.



I would like any brides looking for a wedding cake at this bakery to beware. They need to improve on their customer service and they need to honor coupons that they post on their own website.
