Gorst Self Storage

I would rate them at a 0 at best. We gave our 30 days notice when we paid our last bill (been with them for a year bill always paid on time) to vacate the unit. The next time my spouse went to get something out of the unit it we had been illegally locked out of our unit. My husband had to wake the onsite manager to inquire why the lock out, and was told it was locked out simply because we had given notice to move out of the unit and also because of a bogus security issue stating someone had replaced our lock (same lock we've always had the entire time).

After my spouse let me know of the issue, I called and spoke to the office and the employee asked if they could call me back in a few minutes, they never did. I called back and spoke to a "manager", asking why we were illegally locked out, and was once again given a bogus security issue story, the lady was very rude and resistant to help me. I was yelled at an hung up on and was unable to reach them again.

Later on the same day I was contacted by the "manager" who was still being very snotty and talking to me like a child. I asked why we were illegally locked out, received the same bogus story about a security issue. This storage company advertises security camera usage, but when I asked if they had reviewed the footage she stated no because it wasn't necessary. So I stated if there was a security issue then you would've reviewed your camera footage. It's still not clear what really was going on, but this whole event was the worst customer service I've experienced not to mention completely shady.
Thankfully we have moved out an moved on. But think twice before using this self storage facility, because you will never know if you will be locked out illegally at any given time, and for some shady unknown or unclear reason.
