Overall

We've been bringing my dogs to Tri State Vets for decades. Our first dogs were taken care of by Dr S, and our dogs today by Dr H. Over the last 18 years we have had 20 dogs, all of them adopted and most of them we rescued when they were old and needed a lot of medical care. We have had incredibly compassionate doctors at Tri-state. It's always horrible when a pet gets sick, and it's especially frustrating when you are faced with hard choices. You do everything you can for your pets, but sometimes a treatment plan doesn't work, or the results aren't what you had hoped for. Sometimes another issue crops up and things take a turn. We had to say good bye to two dogs in the past 6 months and it's been agony.. Our dogs are our family. We felt very supported by Dr H and the whole staff at Tri States. I know the level of care we received was the highest. They have been right there with us when we've had to make those hard decisions, and subsequently through some of the saddest moments of our lives. I know there are people that don't understand that, but we really do feel that strongly about our dogs. And that's why I highly recommend Tri State Veterinary Medical Group.

I WOULD PUT O STARS IF POSSIBLE. AWHILE BACK OUR DOG, MAZEY, GOT OUT AND WAS HIT BY A CAR. LOOKED TO ME THE IT WAS MAINLY SKIN LOSS. WE WERE TOLD THEY NEEDED FIVE THOUSAND UP FRONT, WE HAD TO BORROW THE MONEY AGAINST THE HOUSE. WE SAW MAZEY AS ONE OF OUR KIDS. MY WIFE BROUGHT MAZEY DAILY TO THESE PEOPLE FOR OVER A YEAR, PAYING ALL THE WHILE, FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY. AFTER ALL THIS TIME THEY SUGGEST A SKIN GRAFT, ANOTHER TWO GRAND. WE LEFT WITH HER LEG ALL BANDAGED UP AND A HEAD CONE SO SHE WOULD'NT BOTHER WITH IT. AFTER TWO DAYS WE COULD SMELL IT, THE GRAFT DID NOT TAKE. WE RUSHED HER IN AND THE VET HAD THE B___S TO SUGGEST IT WAS OUR FAULT. NEEDLESS TO SAY YOU COULD SEE OUR MAZEY WAS IN CONSTANT PAIN. MY WIFE AND I AGREED OUR MAZEY WOULD DO MUCH BETTER WITHOUT HER LEG. WHICH OFCOURSE THE VET TRIED TO TALK US OUT OF, THIS WAS A CASH COW. WE WENT TO PICK HER UP THE NEXT DAY AND THEY DEMANDED PAYMENT IMMEDIATELY AND WE JUST DIDN'T HAVE IT. BEGREGENLY THEY WORKED OUT A PAYMENT PLAN AND WERE PAID EVERY CENT OWED .MAZEY FLOURISHED FROM THE DAY HER LEG WAS AMPUTATED. AND AFTER SPEAKING TO OTHER VETS WE LEARNED IT WAS ABOUT THE MONEY FOR US TO BE TOLD THE LEG CAN BE SAVED

WELL NOW HER WE ARE ABOUT TEN YRS. LATER, MAZEY PASSED ABOUT SIX MONTHS AGO, AND WE DECIDED TO ADOPT ANOTHER DOG. SURELY AFTER ALL WE WENT THROUGH WITH MAZE, DAILY REHAB FOR OVER A YEAR AND THE COST WHICH WAS WELL OVER TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ONE WOULD THINK WE WOULD OF GOTTEN A A-PLUS FROM THEM TO ADOPT AGAIN. NOT SO, ITS SAD TO SAY, BUT THIER ONLY CONCERN IS MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

THANFULLY THEY DIDN'T GIVE MUCH WEIGHT TO WHAT TRI-STATE HAD TO SAY BECAUSE ALL OF OUR OTHER REFERENCES WERE MORE THAN TRIPLE A-PLUSES.

ITS SAD TOO LOOK BACK AND REALIZE THIER FIRST AND MAIN CONCERN IS NOT FOR YOUR PET, ITS THIER BOTTOM LINE!! I WOULD'NT LET THEM TRIM NAILS

They are unprofessional in their keeping of appointments, they gave me an appointment for 7;30 am and their doors did not open until a quarter of of 8 and no vet showed up until after 8 thirty. My main complaint was the way they euthanized my cat after he was found to have inoperable throat cancer.Their vet lauren alex had an associate grab him quickly from behind so she could shave his leg ,even though it had just been shaved by them the week before. They startled and scared him and showed no empathy for him whatsoever.I have had to have pets put down before and it was done in a peaceful manner and did not cause the pet undue distress. This was a horror show.My cat was as weak as a kitten and exhausted and needed no restraint.I would recommend that anyone who cares for their pet take them elsewhere as these vets only seem interested in their bottom line.I would add that this was a better service when doctor simpson had it. In truth i would give them zero stars.

Very thorough exams, highly efficient in-house lab and diagnostics. I have had Labradors my whole life. I've dealt with hip dysplasia, arthritis, lung and heart issues, and all the things labs are prone to. This place was spot-on with everything I needed to know and do for the best lives for my dogs. They also performed everything I needed for AKC Registration satisfactorily. They were quick and efficient because they don't have to send too much out or refer a client out for what should be taken care of right there. They were very professional through out all my dealings with them. From Glycoflex products to heartworm prevention they knew exactly what's on the market and what should be done for my Labs. In all the years I'm going there they have never steered me wrong.
