Be aware if what you buy there is from China it is going to stink like formaldehyde and I still haven't been able to get the smell out of the drawers in the dresser. Customer service recommended fabric softener sheets & those didn't work. The smell of the bed frame was bearable after a couple of days, but I can't get the smell out of the drawers so I can't put clothes or anything else that can pick up the smell in the dresser or nightstand! Their clearance sale ad is also a farce as I have been watching their ads and prices have been the same all along. Staff was friendly, no complaints there and the reason we chose this store. Now I wish we had purchased our furniture elsewhere. No call back from their customer service dept. either.
Run away from Bacon'sWe ordered a few pieces of furniture and sofas for our dining and living areas. Every single item came damaged. It is a hassle to deal with this store
We purchased 2 recliners and even bought additional warranties that would would cover what was not covered under their life time warranty. They are peeling tearing and cracking and they are less than 3 years old. Now Kanes won't replace them.
don't shop here! we ordered a sofa ,2 chairs and a table. when the furniture was delivered the cushions for the chairs where the wrong color and did not match. we reordered and next time the cushions where half the size . upon informing customer service they where abusive towards me and couldn't care less. I informed the manager/owner mr, bacon and he said he personally would follow up and take care of it. the cushions where reordered a third time. when we got them they where still obviously smaller to the eye. upon measuring they are 2 inches short in each dimension. we informed them and mr .bacon . apparently I am now being fussy. we are never getting the correct size or material its been 6 months . we have given up. BEWARE
Worst builder ever! Took 11 months to build a house they said would take 5-6 months to build - no after service - they damaged our dock and seawall during construction - and tried to blame it on the pool contractor they recommended - when we had photos to prove overwise then they try to blame it on us saying we damaged our own dock before we even took possession of our new home - how ridiculous - all we want is our seawall and dock restored to the way it was before construction and they refuse to claim on their insurance - we have an eye witness who saw their sub contractor do the damage - but they won't accept responsibility and told me to sue them - how disgusting is that! Many other good builders out there to choose from - don't make the mistake we made - you will regret it!
Please steer clear of this store in Pt. Charlotte. I have had a nightmare experience with them. It all started when I ordered some furniture for our new house in Pt. Charlotte. I bought quite a few pieces (dinning room, bar, server, and couch and chair)When working with sales person (decorator,ha) my daughter and I chose a material for the couch and a seaparate one for the chair and foot stool. We believed we ordered a sleeper couch. We went over this with the decorator who proceeded to write up the order. We then left the area and returned to NY. I was not present when the furniture was delivered. I informed the store that my brother-in-law would accept delivery.When I returned this year for Christmas my daughter and I discovered the sleeper couch was not a sleeper. I immediately returned to Bacon's and met with the decorator,who proceeded to say she did not know how this could have happened, and led me to believe we both must have made this error. Not possible, as I needed a sleeper and had a difficult time finding a couch that was one that we liked. She should have remembered. The decorator met with her superior who then said they would take the couch back, making me feel like they were doing me the favor, and I ordered another couch with a different fabric (as now the origional one was now no longer available) ughAfter having people sleep on the floor (blow up bed) during the holidays, I received my sleeper couch (8 weeks later) The delivery men, when exchanging the couchproceeded to remove the two pillows I had ordered to match the fabric on my chair and foot stool and left me with two that matched the couch. This was not what I had orderred. I told them to please leave the two pillows that I ordered to match the chair and take the two they had brought with the new couch. Oh my, they would not let me keep them, and told me they had to be returned with the old couch, and they would then try and re-order them... How can anyone make any sense out of that.I then after all of these errors called the store. There is not any such thing a customer service.. No one would help. I am told the fabric on the pillows is no longer available, and even if it were , I would have to pay for two new ones.. Insult to injury.I have never had such a bad experience before. There are plenty of other stores in the area who are much more attuned to their customers. This experience has left me with such a misturst and disappointment (that is putting it mildly) with this particular store. My advice is to stay away...Albertina 0
