There were 2 employees working this day when I came in. I had to stand in line and wait for the one guy that was making sandwiches. The other employee was "busy" doing other things. I thought this was odd considering that it was the middle of the lunch hour. But, I paitently waited. Once the guy got to me, he never did smile or have very good customer service skills. As he was making my sandwich I asked him to add extra lettuce and extra olives. He put a normal amount of olives on and said "this is extra", would you like extra-extra"? I said, "yes please". He then added a few more (still not what I would consider extra-extra). Once I got to the register he rang me up and the total came to $8.01. I had ordered a footlong cold cut combo ($5) and 1 large drink ($1.98). When I questioned why it was so much, he blankly looked at me and said "I charged you .50 for the extra olives". I asked him why he didn't tell me he was going to be charging me more, and he went off onto a spiel about how they have to pay $12.00 a pound for olives. And they charge .50 extra for them. Again, I told him had he told me that it was going to be an extra cost I would have passed on them. He unapologetically said he was sorry and they are so expensive that they charge more. I let him know that I have been buying Subway for years, and had never before been charged extra. He again went off about how many slices of olives they are suppose to put on each sandwich and how he had added so many more. I paid the man, and told him that it might be a good idea to let the next person know if he is going to be charging them more for extra vegetables. He sarcastically said he would think about that. And I left. This shop happeneds to be one 3 Subway's that are in this town, and I can gaurantee you that I will not be buying sandwiches here ever, EVER again. I don't mind that they want to charge extra for their olives, but I did mind the poor excuse for customer service skills that this guy had. He is representing your business very badly.
Bad. We keep trying to give them a chance to see if they have changed. KFC/Taco Bell usually messes the order up in some way. Tonight we went through and they forgot two of the side items and the biscuits, I called to say that they forgot my food. The guy was rude and wanted to know what did I want. I told him that he should make sure the order is right before it goes out the window. I am angry because he was rude to me and it was his fault not mine.
