I visited The Villas in Nocatee on January 25th and made an offer on a home. I looked over the contract and was immediately concerned over the "Optional Items" section of the contract with a cost of $67,190.00.This is a large amount of money without a clear explanation. Sales Counselor for the builder never offered an explanation for the $67,190.00. The builder was paying for my refrigerator of my choice, large shower head for the large walk-in shower in the master bedroom, and several ceiling fans. I had to sign the contract by 1/27/17 or the offer would be withdrawn. The contract without the addendum was emailed to me on 1/25/17. At the close of business day 1/27/17 I still had not received the addendum. The builders Rep gave an example when she was reviewing the contract - she said:"if it is not in writing you cannot come back later and say that we promised this or that." I was sent to the CalAtlantic Design Center to pick out a shower head. I Chose a large shower head and I was told it was discontinued. I picked out a second large shower head and again I was told it too was discontinued. I picked out a third and a fourth large shower head and was told again that they too were discontinued. All of the displayed large shower heads were discontinued. Another design center Rep walked up and ask me how things were going. I shared my frustration over every large shower head being discontinued; she shook her head "No" and covered her mouth to whisper in the design center Reps ear that had been helping me while giggling. It sounded like she said that in fact these shower heads are not discontinued but they are told to tell the Nocatee homebuyers that they are discontinued. This was Very Inappropriate and a huge turnoff. I was allowed to choose from three refrigerators. After choosing the refrigerator that I wanted I wanted to Keep a copy of the picture of the refrigerator and the Rep said "no" because:"the refrigerator might be Discontinued".
