Pat the tailor was recommended to me by a high end boutique. I've been using him for over 8 years. He does excellent work and is always courteous. I'm so happy to have found such a great tailor. MH
I have been using Pat the Tailor for years for both dry cleaning and alterations. I have never had a bad or negative experience. I would definitely recommend them.
I brought my daughter's prom dress in on April 18th to be taken in and hemmed. The charge was going to be $160.00. We were told the dress would be done on May 16th. Pat called Friday, May 15th (almost ONE MONTH AFTER we dropped it off) and said he could not take the dress in, and that we should come pick it up. When we got there on Friday night, he explained how he hemmed half of the bottom of the dress, but still hadn't finished the hem and there was too much beading on the top to take it in. Really??? He did say it would be a lot of work to take the dress in... that was why the price for alterations was so high. I explained to him how we now had a dress that didn't fit and that could not be returned because he hemmed half of it. We were out $400.00 and didn't have a dress that fit or funds to get a new one in the 5 work days before prom. He didn't even apologize!Thankfully I found a wonderful tailor in Toms River (Crest Cleaners on Fischer Blvd.) to complete the alterations in only five days and for only $56! I should actually be glad for this debacle because Pat the Tailor was overcharging us. Please spread the word not to use this dry cleaner or tailor, Pat the Tailor in Point Pleasant Beach.
