The portions were small and the service was bad. I asked for more bread and, without telling me, they charged me an extra $3. Yes, $3 for bread.
Great customer service. Went with my friend a couple times now its one of my favorite places just because of the customer service. Manager comes to your table and asks how everything is. Very genuine people.
My husband had the Rueben Panini and he said it was the best Rueben he's ever tasted. I had the Nico burger and it was huge and tasty.
6/9/11-I'm a first timer. The restaurant was clean. I got immediate attention. The salad came right away with a basket of garlic bread chips followed by the steaming hot pasta. My glass never went empty as the waitress was very attentive always asking if everything was OK. There is a second floor but I don't know how to get up there. It's a quaint little place, where the food tastes good, and the prices are within range. I will be telling my friends and going back here. -Ken
Recently, a friend and I had dinner at LaBistecca. In the past, I have enjoyed dining there, but my last experience was a poor one. My friend (a vegetarian), ordered a dish of pasta tossed with olive oil, and she was charged $28. After questioning the waitress about the charge, she stated that this was a "special order", thus, the $28.I ordered veal marsala, potatoes were overcooked, marsala sause was basic at best. Side salads are good, but bread basket consists of sliced bread and breadsticks. Pretty basic for a high end restaurant. What once was an outstanding restaurant seems to have gone downhill in a tough economy. They certainly have lost their special touch, I am sorry to say.
