My son had an appointment today for a contact lens exam. He already wore glasses but he wanted contacts for sports because he says that he sweats a lot and it's hard for him to keep his glasses on his face. We went to Visionworks to get the glasses but I couldn't get him in for the contact exam at vision Works because they don't have a doctor right now. The doctor at Walmart refused to give him a prescription for contacts/contacts because he couldn't get them in his eyes after his exam. And I said how is he supposed to learn how to put his contacts in his eyes if he doesn't have them at home to learn how to put them in. My son had told the doctor that he doesn't want to wear contacts when the doctor asked him if he wants contacts. Which who wants to put contacts in their eyes every day. If anybody asks me I would say that I don't want to wear contacts either. I wear contacts and I don't want to but I rather wear contacts then glasses. my son had told me that he wanted contacts at home that's why I made the appointment for the eye contact exam. I paid $50 for the exam and they gave me a prescription for eyeglasses. He was very rude to me and cut me off when I was trying to explain myself and he said that "I'm not going to listen to you. your son doesn't want to wear contacts and he doesn't have to wear contacts he is just a kid." I said that I was never coming back here again and he said that he never wants me to come back again. I've never had such horrible service in my life. I still can't believe the way I was treated. I left crying. They could've been nice to me and offered for my son to come back a different day to try to put the contacts in again. Not just have me pay $50 for the exam and give me a prescription for glasses.
I went to Vision Center to pick up my contacts. My eyes were blood shot and watery, so I took a chance and asked if I could see Dr. Steve without an appointment. Dr. Steve took me right in and did examination, and gave me a sample of eye drops. I went to front desk to pay for my exam, and I was asked if I had insurance. I said "NO".....front desk told me there was no charge!! I wish more businesses would be caring and available like Dr. Steve is!!! Thanks Dr. Steve, I really appreciate you and your staff!!!! The gestapo lady in charge won't tell you your pupilary distance unles you buy their overpriced, highly marked up, glasses and lens from them. It's a high pressure sales job starts when you walk in. Now, they offer care credit so if your broke you can get yourself deeper in debt by purchasing their highly overpriced Chinese (they all are, btw) frames.
my name is Joey Kroboth and I went for an eye care exam 2 weeks ago. Well the doctor told me I needed to change my left contact lens as it was old and scratched. I eneded up ordering 1 contact lens and a new pair of glasses and lenses. The doctor said he wanted to see me after I got the new contact lens to see if I could read well with it. My wife got the call 5 days ago saying the contact was in and as I work 12 hour shifts I was not able to pick it up until today. Well I went to the Walamart Vision Center today to get the contact lens and make an apointment to have my lens checked and I was told the doctoe wouldnt be there until tomorrow. Welll it has been five days already and I work tomorrow and the next day so I asked the lady if I could just take the contact home and come back and see the doctor when I pick up my new glasses.She didnt let me have the lens and told me I could get it when I pick up my glasses and see the doctor. I would just like to add that the contact lens and glasses were paid for,is this not AMERICA? I have a right to take something that I have paid for. In the meantime I am still walking around,driving,working with a contact lens that I can barely see out of. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVIVE WALMART VISION CENTER
