        This review is for the meat dept. I have consistently been provided attentive, friendly service from the butchers, especially Mark Perez.         I went into the Tom Thumb on 14th Street on 3-23-08 between 6:30pm and 7:30pm. I picked up a carton of blueberries and at the check out register realized I didn't have my discount card. The clerk said he couldn't pull it up from the phone numbers I was giving him and therefore I couldn't get the blueberries at the discounted price. It has been so long ago I don't even remember which phone number is in there secret system. I decided to talk to the manager because I couldn't believe what was not happening. The manager did his duty and denied my request of the discounted price saying I needed to apply for another discount card. Come on Tom Thumb I am a loyal customer but after that episode I will think twice before going to that particular Tom Thumb. Even when I went into the Safeway in Estes Park and our Tom Thumb card wouldn't scan(because it was so old) the nice cashier swiped a generic card and I went away a happy customer. The store manager on 3-23-08 between 6:30pm and 7:30pm could have swiped his own card just so I would be a happy customer. As it turned out I went to Kroger and got the blueberries I wanted. The carton of blueberries at Tom Thumb were $3.99. With the card they were $2.88. It just seems ridiculous that I went away from that Tom Thumb not feeling very satisfied and rather disgusted. I think you know what Tom Thumb and that manager could have done to make me happy.
