I am very happy with the attention they give everyone and how happy everyone is to be there. The instructors seem nice and attentive and the moves help my daughter with hand eye coordination. I wonder if they need a bigger place :)

Today was my son last day at lone star due to all the lies i was told on sat their is a class for 3 to 6 year old only and he said that class was mandatory for my son to be apart of it. weeks and weeks of going i started to see other kids in the class that where much older and would come to class in the middle of class which would take the attention of the students who are in class for that time. That is not fair at all to the kids who are suppose to be on the 9:30 class who are much younger. This is the only class that he has just for them so why is it when i asked him about it #1 he was very rude to me then when all to say this is a anybody class it doesn't matter if there class starts at 10 they can come at anytime because its a free class. This is where i got upset because my son is not apart of the 10 am class because he was told he could only be in the 9 30 class. TODAY WAS MY LAST CLASS JUST FED UP WITH ALL THE INTERRUPTIONS OF CLASS. I understand running a business its hard i have one of my own but i also know how to be fair to all parents and children in my classes . He also deleted bad reviews off facebood
I would love to give it more, but I can't. The customer service is awful. After I posted a review about how classes are cancelled and nobody is notified, and how parents are allowed to interrupt classes, I was asked to remove it. So disappointing... There's way better places out there, I've been to 2 and going back to them. I was asked to remove a review on facebook. I served my country for 12 years, I'll be damned if some kid is going to let his wife "bust his balls" as he said, to remove my post. I fought for that right, and I will post exactly how awful the communication and waste of time & money it is coming here. Also, you will receive false charges. He will not even talk to you he will only text, actually he doesn't even let you talk, he hangs up on you. I guess that's how a 28 year old runs a business. He does daycare training at a few centers, including my sons, and apparently at Children s Lighthouse in Rockwall he was so bad that they had to talk to him several times about cancelling class and not showing. Another mother o goes Sat at 9:30 AM says the same thing, actually she waited 2 weeks and had to PHYSICALLY GO UP THERE to discuss the false charges on her account. It's just a pathetic way to run a business, very pathetic.
In February 2014, I started looking at Martial Arts schools in East Plano for my two sons (ages 6 and 8 at the time). After contacting several schools, Grandmaster Howard Lee offered an appointment the very same day. After talking with him for short while, I immediately felt like his instruction in Taekwondo would be far superior to the other places that I contacted. I couldn’t help but relate the situation to Karate Kid. I wanted my very own Mr. Miyagi down to the specialized attention to detail and commitment to his students unlike many of the large corporate schools in the area. During my discussions with Grandmaster Lee, I realized that this is a great opportunity for my husband and me to get a bit of exercise while learning self defense and authentic Taekwondo from a Korean Grandmaster. I knew this was going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity for my family. My family started lessons, and I was not disappointed. Grandmaster Lee incorporates so many aspects in lessons including Taekwondo, Karate, forms (katas), weapons, board breaking, self defense, sparring, free fighting, grappling, and my personal favorite - submissions. His lessons are based on private and individual instruction. He is very accommodating and flexible when we cannot make a lesson. He will reschedule a class time to make sure we get in enough lessons every week. He doesn’t require a contract of any kind. I pay by check every month. Grandmaster Lee offers superior martial arts instruction! He really puts his heart into the art and making sure his students get quality lessons. Every time after doing my forms, I hope to hear his usual comment of, “Punch harder and faster. Kick higher and faster.” If I hear these comments, then I know everything else was good. He is always pushing his students to do better, to punch harder, to kick higher and to be faster. I also enjoy when he talks about Korea and his Taekwondo experience in Korea.Overtime, our class has gotten progressively harder as my family grows stronger. This helps keep class interesting but also helps me with my personal fitness goals. I urge anyone looking into Martial Arts whether for your kids, yourself, or entire family to visit with Grandmaster Lee, and get your very own Mr. Miyagi!
Our family started lessons in February. We have 2 young boys that need some attention and kid-sized goals. He is good with our kids and always very flexible with days and times for our lessons if we have a school function.Like any kids, ours like to fight with each other. Here they can get it out of their systems with pads on and an instructor helping them do it safely. They learn to defend themselves against each other. The classes have bite-sized goals that our kids can accomplish themselves without the possibility of someone doing it for them. Thus it can be a great confidence boost when they succeed. You know you're doing good when all he has to say is to kick higher, punch harder, or faster... you can always do better. It is great to see the boys do really well and get excited about it.Of course, why send your kids, then just sit and watch? It is great exercise for all of us, which is sometimes hard to get regularly as an adult.
When i first walked into the Gracie Gym it was immediately welcoming like going to your grandmothers house for a visit. The staff was extremely courteous and professional and didn't make me feel like i had to "buy their product" but rather wanted to allow me to experience the atmosphere and see Gracie Jiu-Jitsu for myself. There are no words to describe how amazing the actual class was it made me exhausted but so hungry for more that my mind completely forgot the tiredness. At the end of the class my Gi was soaked with sweat and satisfaction from learning the most complete sport and art form that I immediately signed up and since that day my experience here has only gotten better. A lot of gyms say they are like a family but this one truly is, the extent that my fellow mat mates have gone for me is unprecedented and truly humbling to be around. And as if it couldn't get any better the network of professions are profound, there are guys here that are chiropractors, doctors, lawyers, crossfit coaches and everything in between that are more than happy to help you and offer their services at a family rate. If your thinking about Jiu-Jitsu please look no further, this place has been a god send and it is truly learning from the source as the Professor has been training and competing with the Gracie family for 20+ years and is married into the family through his wife Kyvia Gracie who is one of the kindest, caring and generous person you will ever have the pleasure to meet.
I would like to say how HAPPY I am to send my children to Tiger Kicks! We have been here for more than a year and I cannot tell you what a joy it has been. The teachers are friendly, knowledgeable, and approachable. The owners are very flexible and will accomodate anyone as best as they can. The environment is warm and welcoming to all students. We are proud to call Tiger Kicks our martial arts school!
