$1400 a month for a 700 sq ft apartment. Yes I signed the lease, but I was in a jamb, because Colonial Grande showed me a model apartment, and when I showed up to sign the lease and move in, on the walk through, I got an apartment from hell. So I was in a hurry, Elan Towne was brand new ( I thought), I figured a new place was worth a little extra. They did the same thing, (Zee) showed me a model unit, and when I showed up I got a one year old unit with one prior tenant, it was awful. I took 113 pictures. The bathtub was cracked. The carpet was filthy. Their "punch out experts" tried their best to hide all the defects with caulk and paint, but you could see right through it. The neighbors all had dogs that they left alone all day in their units, barking in unison. The Great Dane across from me was the loudest, and the #2 bombs it dropped were too heavy for the owner to lift. Three changes of management in the 7 months I was there. Instead of getting my security deposit back in 15 days like the law states, they took 2 months to give me 1/3 of it back. $115 water bill and the carpet fee left me only $100, and it took calling their corporate office 3 times a day for 2 weeks just to get that.
