After coming to the conclusion that I needed an insert in my fireplace (that did not heat), I began to do research online, and finally made my way to the stores locally. I was in the market for a new gas insert (propane), having burnt wood my whole life. After stopping by multiple stores in the El Dorado county area, and even one in the Sacramento area, I wasn't totally impressed. Some of the companies had beautiful units, but something seemed to be missing at each one. Finally, my wife and I stopped in at Sierra Home alternatives. First off, blown away by how big and beautiful their showroom was, (it looks much smaller from the storefront), and the immediate greeting and service from the front counter we had a great vibe. After talking to one of their salestaff, and enjoying the wealth of knowledge presented, we set up a free site evaluation with one of their installers. He also was very professional, and very approachable, answered some of my questions and concerns onsite, and put me at ease with who possibly would be installing the unit. Quick response with an estimate, and reasoning why it would work, and why something else wouldnt work, and everything broken down in price from the unit, to the install. We went forward and everything worked out great, the install was great as well. VERY VERY SATISFIED. Will be referring this company to all our friends, and giving any business we have with them moving forward. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO ANYONE LOOKING FOR A NEW PRODUCT TO HEAT THEIR HOME!!! I can't say how much I enjoyed my experience working with the folks at Sierra Home Alternatives!! My wife and I were remodeling our home in Cameron Park and were looking to do a new wood fireplace. The staff shared a lot of information on the products available, and also sent out a licensed installer to look at our application for free. a++++ service, information, and installation across the board. We would do business again with these folks at any time, and highly recommend them!!!
