Pittsfield High School provides general academic programs to students in grades 9 through 12. Its curriculum includes math, social studies, science, English, physical education and foreign languages. The school conducts a range of activities that includes fundraising events picnics and graduation ceremonies. It maintains class and student councils. Pittsfield High School also operates art, pep, chess, achievers, French, Italian, and travel and tourism clubs. The school organizes a variety of athletic activities, such as baseball, softball, basketball, volleyball, hockey, skiing, soccer, golf, cross-country and tennis. It also administers business and vocational education programs and is a part of Pittsfield Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions.
