All the food taste the same.not good food and for 2 meals at the buffet over 28.21.for two people.signs by the food not correct.deserts were pancake type cookies that dripped grease.cakes were old/stale.never again!!!!avoid this place.
Awful! Worst service ever! My drink was served to me in a broken Martini glass, the server never came back to check on us, I had to go to the bar myself. After I complained a manager never came to the table. There is no one to be found when you need them. When I called the manager to complain she told me I should have asked for her, I shouldn't have to! Your servers should tell you when there is a problem and the manager should visit the table regardless! Food is awful, they were out of what my husband wanted and waited a half hour to tell us. We waited over an hour for our food, and mine was cold! Worst restaurant ever!
The service on this resteraunt was one of the worst I have ever had. The staff is totally clueless and the sushi was mediocre at best. Stay away.
This was the very worst restaurant that my husband and I have ever been to. The food was barely edible. I have no words to describe how awful this place was. It is a buffet and the food looked as if it had been sitting there forever and it tasted that way too. There were also dust bunnies hanging off of the grill where they are supposed to cook the food in the "hibachi" area. After eating only a quarter of the plate of the food I had on my plate, I was so turned off that I could not bear to eat any more. My husband felt the same way and was so apologetic that he ever suggested that we try Tokyo Sushi Buffett and Grill, that he told me to just move on to the dessert. I went to look at the cakes, cookies and ice cream. How can you mess those up, right? WRONG. The desserts were awful. They were stale and obviously right out of some kind of box, and the ice cream tasted like ICE ONLY - no cream. I could not even finish that. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! We should have stayed and ate at the Ross Park Mall food court like we were going to. That would have been far superior to this. To add insult to injury, we had to pay 36.36 for two awful meals and we left there hungry. AGAIN>>>>AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
Delicious food and big portions! I'm about 6'8 and 250 pounds and was able to get completely full at Sakura for only around $27. I ordered spicy wood-ears and mushrooms and ham mala hot pot to share with another and was surprised that the dishes were so large (I eventually had to use a take-out box). The food was very fresh when they served it to me and was very tasty. Their General Tso's chicken is also the best I have tasted in Pittsburgh and their sushi is very fresh and delicious. The cool decorations and atmosphere of the restaurant made my experience at Sakura even more enjoyable. The staff should also be commended for their excellent service. Overall, I would highly recommend going to Sakura. (The Chinese-style barbeque sandwich there is so good, it's a must!)
The service is great, the people are nice, and for the portions and cuts, the price is simply the best there is. This just goes for the Hibachi portion (because thats the only area I have been ,but the chef's always put on an amazing show, give you liberal amounts of EXCELLENT food and you cant beat the price. $18-$20(?) for almost any combination of shrimp, chicken, steak, or scallops. GO!
A comedy of errors...Sunday 11-11-12When we arrived, we were seated under a staircase people were using. Using the law of gravity, it isn't necessary to explain where the dirt/debris goes. I let it go because my hubby had just picked me up from the airport and I was hungry and tired. We sat down and before our server appeared, I looked over at my husband and his shirt had food debris on the front of it. He had leaned up against the side of the table, which apparently wasn't clean but again I let it go. The server arrived and took our drink orders so we could move on. It took a while for our server to reappear with two diet sodas which tasted funny. We both ordered and the waiter tells me they are out of the Sea Bass. I said fine, I'll have the Black Cod, which they were out of as well. I then tried a third time with Lamb Chops. After another long wait, our appetizers arrived. I ordered my water with lemon and a beer again. We ate the appetizers (which were less than mediocre) without drinks and waited yet again for our waiter (or anyone!) to come around to check on our drinks. The waiter then puts down my Lamb Chops and goes to check on our drinks. Please keep in my, I only had a fork and chop sticks and nothing to cut the meat with, so after another long wait, I said screw it and picked one up with my fingers and took a bite. Guess what? They are spicy hot and I have NO drink. My husband now starts laughing because the place was turning into a joke. The waiter finally shows up with the drinks and I tell him to take the now cold Lamb Chops away. He does. My hubby is still waiting on the Asian Noodles he order for his meal when the manager shows up. The manager (aka the bus boy with dirty clothes) comes over and asks what the problem is. Now please remember, I'm tired and don't want to get started on the guy... because the potential is there for me to go from 1 to 10 in a nano second. I politely tell him the Lamb was now cold and too spicy to eat without anything to drink. Before I could finish, he proceeds to tell me that the menu clearly says the lamb is spicy and it looks like I am good on drinks. The beast in me wanted to devour the dirty looking twit until I decide to feel sorry for him because he was clueless. Then the waiter shows up with my hubby's noodles (which were cold). My hubby ate them and we waited again for the waiter to come back. The manager shows up again (out of the blue and after we are done) with a new soda and asks me to "try it now," "I'm sorry for the soda tasting funny," because it appeared that the "hose needed changed." I said no thanks, I was going to finish my beer and that we wanted the check. He then asked my hubby to try the soda. WTF right? Let HIM test taste it.Now I ask all you hard working folks out there who enjoy a good meal out (esp. when it's expensive), what you would have done? Needless to say, if you want to try the place you should do it soon because it's doubtful this place is going to last. My advice? AVOID THIS PLACE.After I paid the bill, we then went across the hall to a *real* restaurant.Happy eating and folks up!*UPDATE 11-18-12It appears that the manager/owner of the DragonFire restaurant has a documented history (check out other reviews, particularly one dated 08-05-12) of harassing and threatening reviewers who give him a less than stellar review. I guess he doesn't get the PURPOSE of reviewer sites, eh?Again, be careful out there folks.Happy eating and forks up!
