Good Chinese

I used to live in Brookline and Tong Garden was my favorite Chinese restaurant. In all of the times I have been there, I never found anything that I didn't like. The portion sizes are large, the price is reasonable, and the flavor is excellent. The owners and staff are very friendly and the cook will make whatever you want and do a good job. I once asked for kung-pau beef, not on the menu, and they happily made it for me. I highly recommend this restaruant!

Great Chinese Food!!!

Tong's is one of the best Chinese joints in town. Homey atmosphere. Scrumptous sauces. Be sure to try the Hot and Sour Soup. Since me an my Husband tried Tong Garden, we seldom go anywhere else.

Great little restaurant

Tong Garden (Tong's Chinese Restaurant) is a wonderful little family run restaruant. It is located on Brookline Blvd. The diningroom is nothing to write home about. Simple tables and chairs in a somewhat tattered setting. Children's magazines and toys can often be seen in the corner as the owner's children often play, watch TV, or do their homework in the restaruant. The food, however, more than makes up for the lack of ambiance. Simply put, Tong Garden has some of the best Chinese food in Pittsburgh. The Mooshu and Kung Pau are excellent, the sweet and sour chicken is made with large strips of succulent chicken breast, and their soups and sauces are wonderful. If you have the chance, try Tong Garden. Highly recomended. Cash only.
