Posa Landscaping & Contracting

These guys not only showed up on time, but they created a perfect landscaped house. I pretty much gave them carte blanche on creating the landscaping and they delivered! Everything looks perfect. So perfect, that a neighbor, that wins often on the best landscaped garden in Shaler, told me she loved what they did and now she has competition. Posa Landscaping was very thorough and extremely professional. I would recommend them to anyone. They worked within my budget but made the results look like they had twice as much of a budget.

Posa Landscaping has been our landscaping service for many years, and we have been completely satisfied with the work they do--not just mowing our lawn weekly but also suggesting and making improvements to enhance the look of our property. We consider Dean Posa to be honest and committed to doing the best job possible for a good price. He has an eye for aesthetics that makes us regard him as a landscape architect as well as a contractor. If we are not happy with something (which is rare), he will cheerfully accommodate us. In sum, we recommend him without reservation.

By the way, we have a big dog that has access to our backyard and we have never had a problem with Posa Landscaping. The workers have always been considerate.

We have had Posa Landscaping take care of our properties for over 40 years. When we started with Posa, it was owned and operated by John and Emileo, the current owner's father and uncle. Dino, the current owner, was a young teenager. Upon the retirement of his father and uncle, Dino has been running the business.

In all the years of doing business with the Posas I can honestly say that I haven't had a single problem with them. In fact, they have helped me to avoid troubles. For example, I asked them to review the plans of a landscape architect that I had engaged while building my current home. They advised against several things the architect had planned, and it turned out that the Posas' suggestions were much better than the architect's.

Posa has done our routine lawn maintenance, grass cutting, weed pulling, plantings of flowers, trees, bushes, as well as exterior construction projects such as concrete sidewalks, retaining walls, drainage systems, etc. They also do thorough cleanups in the fall and spring. All of this without a single argument! Moreover, unbelievable as it may sound, I've never had to make a phone call to him. He and his crews show up regularly and promptly.

We have never had a disagreement on any of his billings. I consider his rates to be more than fair, and I always pay my statements from him on time.

I am not related to Dino, but after 4 decades of doing effortless business with him, he has become like family to me. I love this guy and his crews, and look forward to many more years of enjoying his great service.

By the way, for many years we had two small dogs that Dino and his guys liked very much. They always notified us in advance when they applied weed killer or fertilizer on our lawn to make sure the dogs were not harmed. Dino brought his wife and daughter to our home to meet our dogs. This is not a man who would condone mistreating animals in any way.

The owner of this company was made specifically aware that we had dogs, but his employees chose to willfully leave a gate open that they could not get to close. They did not mention this to us. While I think they broke the gate, that wasn't the point--the point is that they left it open, knowing we had dogs, and didn't notify us it had been left open. They also damaged newly growing grass they'd specifically been asked to stay off of, leaving deep ruts. The owner offered to fix that, but refused to remove the crew member who intentionally left our gate open from the team that mowed our lawn. He obviously values grass more than the lives of my precious pets. He said all he could do was tell the worker "not to do that again".

Meticulous, customer focused and fast.



FAST: We had them put in a new patio and outdoor fireplace. They came out to look at the backyard space. We discussed design options for both the fireplace and the patio. They gave us a quote. We scheduled a date. They arrived as scheduled and started work right away. Within days we had a new patio and beautiful fireplace.



Meticulous & Customer focused: Even though they were using jackhammers and heavy equipment, the lawn was not all torn up. They had placed plywood and tarps down to protect the rest of the lawn. They were able to incorporate the mantle that we wanted. They were able to integrate it with the preexisting retaining wall so it looked like it had been there all along. The back of the fireplace is against a tree line but they decorated it too!!



We've gotten many unsolicited comments about our patio and fireplace. I am NOT shy about letting our friends know who did the excellent work.



They gave us an extra room we could use. Truly great!!!

WHAT A JOKE!!! If you like calling at all times of the day and still only talking to an answering machine, these are the guys. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! They don't call back on a timely manner. I called 2 or 3 times to set up a time for them to look at my house and give me an estimate. When they did call back, there was an excuse as to why it took so long to return my call. They showed up, discussed my job request, and was going to give me an estimate. I was told it takes 2 weeks for the estimate. 3 weeks go by.... 4 weeks go by.... in the meantime, I've called about 6 or 7 times to check on why I haven't gotten an estimate and THEY STILL HAVEN'T CALLED BACK!! This review is not a lie. This is MY experience and I would NEVER, EVER recommend this company to anybody. Not calling back in a timely manner, or even at all, is very poor service to a potential client. Thanks for wasting my time. If you just treated me with respect, I would have had no reason to write this review.
