This the most ignorant restaurant ever!! Always been. So Mike & Tony on the SOUTHSIDE stay open till 3:30am. I was so mad sober out my mind and hungry for a chicken gyro. So the owners son says no chikn gyros after midnight.. O THERE IS NO SGN BY THE WAY.. Me and my husband brought 3 gyros. So when they where making the gyros they hardly had veggies.. So I said where is the onion the worker said that there is none and the owners son says that it was and we had no onion on our gyros. Very un professional and he lied but I knew I didn't se any.. They treat customers o wrong. I will no longer come to the SOUTHSIDE mike and Tony's.. Them the one guy the owner stands over ur food and mk the gyros while sweat is dripping off his face.. !! eww he sweats sssooooo bad.!!! NASTY. But when i call and let them knw. I wonder if they are going to be rude They are also rude to each other.

I would have to say that the food is good at Mike and Tony's but the customer service is very poor. I was there a few times and both times were awful. The way they talk to people is such a shame. The one son is the worst one of them all. He treated this man so bad the one time I was in there that I actually have to get up and walk out. He makes people feel like they are stupid and he is the best thing that every walked. NOT. Take a lesson in customer service please. Without the customers you would not have a Gyro shop to run. All customers should be important. They are spending money and deserve to be treated special. I have told everyone about the service and I have has a bunch of people agree. NEWS FLASH, TREAT PEOPLE THE WAY YOU WOULD WANT TO BE TREATED.

Great Gyro/Interesting Protocol

Mike and Tony's makes a fine gyro. Great sauce. Pretty good fries. My favorite part of the whole M & T experience is that you order at the counter, sit down, they bring out your food, you eat, then upon exiting you rehash your order to the counter help so that they may calculate how much you owe. Curious. The Greeks are the best!

It's O.K.

If you like gyros I really think you should try Zorba's it is on Smithfield Street. (So much better than Mike and Tony's

Caution: prices went up - gyro size went down

This place still has the best tasting gyros in town but not only did they raise the prices, it also appeared as though the size of the gyros have decreased substatially.
I was not the only person to notce the ""great shrinking gyro phenomenon"", at least four others also commented. I was there on a Wednesday for lunch and the place was unusually empty. I don't mind paying more for the same product but paying more and getting less .............. combined with the grimey appearance and general stickiness of everything (trays, salt and pepper shakers, ketchup containers etc.) it may be time to look for another gyro shop in town. Any recomendations?

Gyro...DO IT

This place has awesome gyro's, but be prepared to wait in line for at least 20 minutes. The line might not be that big, but there is something slowing these guys down. After about 5 visits, I've determined it's the fries. They make the fries at the beginning of the line, but don't give them to you until check out. Then the lady at the register always realizes she needs fries, has to go all the way to the front, and bring them all the way back. Move those fryers! Despite the wait (and the dirty ripped up 1970's tables and chairs), this place is great.

Best Gyros

Anyone looking for a good gyro, but don't know where to look? Look no further than Mike & Tony's. These are by far the best gyros in the 'burgh. I have been eating here for years, and the quality (and service) has never disappointed me.

Savory Gourmet Gyros

This is the best by far! It should be rated numero one! This meat is cooked to a lovely golden brown and sliced generously, filling your nose with a delicious aroma. The pita is served warm and wraped around smothering the enticing meat and the sauce, oh the sauce, is the most delicious youll ever taste, I swear the delicious taste fills your mouth with loving portions. Everything is delicious, and in downtown, look for the guy that doesent speak english, hes cool!
