ATTENTION BRIDES: BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION.
My sister is soon to be married and all of the bridesmaids purchased our dresses from this shop. Thankfully, early on in the ordering process, her mother in law noticed the sales rep was about to order the wrong dresses for everyone and had the problem corrected. Now, after picking up my dress we realized they ordered the wrong size! It clearly states what size I needed on my receipt but it was still ordered wrong. The size that I ordered required ZERO alterations. When I asked to speak to the owner I was told he'd call me back. I called every day for a week and still got no where (sometimes 2 times a day). I was also out of town on the West Coast -working- and still made the attempts to speak to the owner. At one point an employee told me that to speak to the owner I needed to write an email. Angrily, I did but it was returned because their inbox was full. (I have the email saved as proof). Now, I would absolutely be open to the "mistakes happen" rule but after chasing the owner for a week and getting nowhere- I lost that thought. After calling every day for a week I was FURIOUS. I can't say that I was the happiest of customers to deal with but I'm sure anyone would reach a point of panic when your the maid of honor - in your sister's wedding-that was less than a month away and your dress was too big!!! I refused to bring the dress back to the store until I could speak to the owner and ensure he was going to make it right. I live 45 minutes to an hour away and didn't want to waste any more time or gas! I specifically told that to every employee. To put the icing on the cake - I spoke to the owners wife (who claims she's the owner when you're in the store), tell me that in her country she'd be expected to just deal with it and move on. #WELCOMETOTHEUSAMYDEAR When the owner -Scott- FINALLY called me a week later he treated me with complete disrespect and wondered why I was so angry. He barely let me talk and continuously spoke over me. After that I decided to cut my losses and made an appointment with my own seamstress to fix their mistake. I was hesitant to let them even touch the dress after that conversation. Candalina brides can careless about their customers. The owner of the store specifically stated that "I'm not the first (unhappy customer) and I'm certainly not the last..." And when I mentioned that I'd be giving him bad reviews he said "he'd love the free publicity".
So here's you're free publicity Mr. Scott....

3/13/15 Great shop. We didn't purchase, but got lots of attention (they weren't busy). They were very accommodating even though we were only looking for one prom dress. But, we will certainly keep Candalina in mind for 2 future "Brides-to-be". (Gave a 3, so that they will strive to always be this good, if not better.)
My friend, who was married last year, recommended Candalina's to me, but I was a little hesitant to go because of the previous reviews. I am so glad that I took her advice. The shop has been under new ownership for almost two years and they have obviously really turned this place around. The staff was very nice and down-to-earth (not snobby like employees at some other shops). I even met the owner. They carry a HUGE selection of bridesmaids dresses too. The dresses came in on time and were absolutely perfect. I recommend Candalina's to every future bride. Just try them out - you won't be disappointed.

I visited Candalina Brides to try on bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding. My friend who is getting married accompanied me and tried on dresses for herself. We walked in without an appointment and received a warm welcome. The owner and the sales associate were very friendly and helpful. The dressing rooms were very nice and spacious. The shop had a lot of wonderful dresses at affordable prices. One of the owners took the time to explain in detail the shipping methods of a particular designer and shipping time estimates of the dress I was interested in ordering. (I had a last minute order situation).
I spoke to one of the owners for awhile and found out that she and her husband just bought the shop last summer. After reading some of the older bad reviews, I decided to write a review because I don't feel like those reviews reflect how the shop is today. From the looks of the older reviews, it seems like the new owners have really turned things around. I think this may have been the best bridal shop I have visited.

I went here with my bridal party to find bridesmaid's dresses for my wedding. We had just come from another store and were very bummed we didn't find anything. As soon as we walked in we were welcomed and got right to business!
All the girls had such a fun time coming in and out of the dressing rooms! The dressing rooms were very large and we had them all to ourselves (we made an appointment ahead of time). We were very indecisive, but the women there knew what dress to try on next!
It was an absolutely wonderful experience! Even after we left I have been able to call to get fabric swatches and they are at my door within a couple days! Wish I could go back and do it all again!

The Experience at Candalinas was wonderful. The Staff and and customer service exceeded my expectations. My Wedding is next weekend (keeping fingers crossed for no snow). I just left with my dress, and it fits to perfection. The bridemaids dresses came in as ordered, and ahead of schedule. All the alterations, inlcuding my wedding dress were handled with no problems. I would like to thank everyone at Candalinas for the excellent customer service. I highly recommend any bride or bridal party, to put Candalina's on your list to shop at. You won't be disappointed.

I had a great experience and got the perfect dresses for the whole bridal party. I had shopped around to a lot of shops and they were the only ones that could order me the dress that I wanted.
One of the bridesmaids had a slight change in her weight and needed a new dress at the last minute. I personally with the manager and new owners and they took care of everything. Saved my day!

Went to pick up a dress for my wife that they already messed up. Waited as the staff walked around listening to the radio and ""primping"" the place . Place was empty and the staff acted as I was not there. I waited about 10 minutes before they waited on me. As I gave them my information, the first comment was "" you owe us $XX.XX!"" (Okay here is your money) They screwed up my wife's dress and are just not interested in customer service. The space is huge, but empty. My advise is to to go somewhere else. It is not worth the staff being condescending and acting like they are the only show in town!
My wedding is in August and we ordered bridesmaids dresses from Candalina's in February. At that time, we were told they would be arriving in late May. At the beginning of June I called the store and they told me the dresses had shipped. I specifically told them we would come pick up the dresses at the end of June, giving them a specific date.
The date came and we went to the store. Two of my bridesmaids flew in from other states to come get the dresses so they could be altered at that store. Guess what: no dresses had arrived.
The sickest thing was not that we had been lied to about the arrival date, but it was the indifference of the owner at all of the inconvenience and cost we had to go through for what was essentially a waste of time and hundreds of dollars. She did not apologize once and had an excuse for everything. It was obvious that this has happened to her many times and she knows exactly what to say to attempt at taking the blame off of her and her sub-par employees.
I want to make sure others do not subject themselves to becoming a victim of a store and witch of a woman owner.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to Donetta and her professional staff (This was top of the line service!) for making my experience purchasing my wedding gown, and my bride maid's gowns, and flower girl's dress so wonderful. Donetta was so particular with helping me, make sure my dress was exactly what I wanted. I had the most beautiful gown in the whole store:) She also did the same for my bridal party too. Everyone was so pleased at the friendly service, and atmosphere. The alterations were PERFECT, and everything was so professionally organized. I can't stress enough how THANKFUL I am for such a wonderful, once in a life time experience. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU! I would definetly recommend Brides by Candalina to any new bride. Wonderful staff!

My experience, as well as my bridesmaids, was very enjoyable. The sales associates, especially Donnetta, were very helpful through this busy time. They helped us select the perfect gowns & accessories. There were so many to choose from! They did the alterations for us as well. Even though other customers were in the store, they made us feel as though we were the only ones there. This is truly a bridal salon I would recommend for such a special occasion!

This place has terrible customer service. I called about a bridesmaids dress and was quoted one price but when I sent one of the bridesmaids to the store to try the dress on she was told the dress was a different price. I called the store a few days later to confirm the price of the dress (which by the way I was given a 3rd and different price) and was asked by one of the nasty employees/owner why I continued to call the store after a ""card"" had been created for me (which I did not know). She then proceeded to insist that I did know a card was made for me (basically calling me a liar) and implied that I was basically waisting their time calling multiple times. Fortunately, I had not ordered anything from the store and will certainly not or ever purchase anything from that store. Think twice before you extend your business to this place....you may be treated with little respect and will be sorry later.

Terrible customer service-owner did not order my gown in a timely fashion, and I paid her over 600.00 in July 07 4 my May 08 wedding! Now 2 months b4 wedding owner is trying to unload the wrong color and wrong size dress on me! She was very rude on the phone and repeatedly hungup on me. I finally got all my downpayment returned but not w/o a fight. Wedding dresses are everywhere-even online...don't put up with this lady's lousy service. I was warned by other brides that Candalina's was nothing but trouble, but she was one of the few in Pgh. who carried the Jasmine line of dresses. Got my new dress in 2 weeks from MbBride-custom fit, perfect color and LESS $$$$! Candalina's gets a -5/ you'll be sorry 4 sure if you buy from her!
