Unprofessional staff who leave the children unsupervised all of the time. They text on their phones more than they paying attention to the kids in their care.

From Business: We have a large facitlity with seperate rooms for all ages. We're a PA State licensed facility providing quality care for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old. T…
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL OWNER. WORKERS ARE THERE ONE DAY AND GONE THE NEXT. ONE ROOM FOR ALL AGES. GIVES MINIMUM AMTS OF FOOD INSTEAD OF CONSIDERING THE AGE AND WEIGHT OF THE CHILD. YOU CANNOT GIVE A THREE YEAR OLD FOUR NUGGETS AND THE SAME TO A 12YR OLD, THEY WOULD NEED MORE THAN THAT. ONLY THING THAT IS PROBABLY GOOD IS THE HOURS. ANYTHING ELSE RUN AWAY,AND FAST
This was the worst place I have ever worked. The owner was so mean to all of the staff (except her favorites) and would yell at the kids. When I say yell, I mean get in their face and scream at them. She would put on a show when the parents would come and pick up their children. You can tell who her favorite families were. She would come out of her office and butter up the parents. She would degrade all the staff that she didn't like, she did this even in front of parents. If the roles weren't followed, she didn't care. When I spoke up saying that it wasn't right, she didn't care. She never changed and all she kept saying was I know more than you. The infant bottles were heated in the microwave rather than a crock pot, the infants were not held while being feed the bottle (they were propped up by a pillow or blanket). The toddlers were constantly being yelled at. Half the time I would tell the owner that we were out of ratio and she didn't care. She would say "your fine, you can handle it" and walk away. If the sate came in and saw it, she would then yell at the teacher and said "why didn't you tell me?" even though we would. Nothing was ever her fault. If you could go somewhere else, i would STRONGLY suggest it.
the WORSE daycare I have ever seen, the cost is high, well average, high for the care given to these children, they don't supply food, over charge for every field trip, pizza Friday's etc. The kids are running around with candy, a big choking hazard, or made to sit and watch tv constantly... the majority of the staff is NOT kid friendly, with the exception of 2 of them! My grandson goes and has come home with huge scratches around his neck, black and blues and the teachers don't inform us of these, we usually notice them at bath time, etc. I would NOT recommend this place if you care at all how your children, grandchildren are being cared for!!
Today was my son's first and last day at Doodle Bugs. I watched my 7 month old on their "Watch Me Grow" video and was appalled at the ambivalence of the staff towards the infants. My son is just starting to sit up and at one point fell backwards flat on his back where he was left laying there for 10 minutes before anyone came over to him. He can't sit himself up yet or crawl. Another infant walked over to him and started hitting him in the head with a toy. It took teachers almost 5 minutes to come over and stop the girl. His head is bruised now. A teacher came into the room to mop the hardwood floor and two infants where left on the floor to crawl through the freshly wet floor. The one little boy almost grabbed the mop. The Center Director gave me nothing but excuses, although she admitted the actions were "not ideal" and "unacceptable". The Director of Customer Relations for Doodle Bugs tried to tell me the mops they use are hardly wet and the floor dries instantly. Sure.
While looking for a daycare closer to our new home, I found the above review. I have never reported anything on YELP before, but I had to counter the bad review above. The workers there are kind and caring. They care about my daughter and my family. The are not fancy or trendy - they are old school, and that is okay by me! They take the kids to the park and give them snacks. My daughter loves it. Occasionally she comes home with bumps and sickness, but we are talking about germy, clumsy 3 and 4 year olds. My nephews attend the center with her. There have been no complaints, and it is VERY reasonably priced (trust me, I am in the process of finding another and there is no where out there with this type of care and hours for this price).
I agree, whole-heartedly with the posts about the "merger". This also would coincide with the changing of "managers". Chaotic, unorganized, UNPROFESSIONAL, understaffed, whiney and sneaky would be how I would describe the "management" and the environment here. The only reason to send your kids here would be if you like to pay for: a renovation that took half a year, a dangerous parking lot for drop offs, 3 hour naps, days that your children don't attend (water main breaks, sick days) and other small print contract "fees" as well as their precious 2-star status-(whatever that means) which is NOTHING as to how your kid is treated. When you meet with the staff, etc., they tell you one thing and then they do or say another. Try and give suggestions on the care of your child and you'll be met with a lack of common sense and a giant attitude from the daycare manager. Save your time, money (they got plenty of ours) and sanity. There are plenty of other options available in the airport area.
My daughter goes to this daycare for PreK and I must say the staff is extremely helpful. They are always willing to help with whatever you need and are understanding about timing and finacial issues.
Love the daycare for my kids honest director maya blackman with staff very clean facility thank you so much
I totally trust the teachers/staff with the care of my kids. My children are in an enriched learning environment and are stimulated on a daily basis. I would totally recommend this daycare to anyone that truly cares about their kids learning the essentials to successfully flourish in elementary.
