Best service, clean rooms, beach is less than 50 feet from the motel. We have celebrated our anniversary at the Sea Gypsy for 10 years. Love it!!!!!
we had to go back to front desk twice to change our room because it was dirty when we got there... mainly the bathroom (dirty toilet and shower with no supplies). the area was messy around the pool, staff very unprofessional as well. would not come back to this motel.
Stayed there last weekend. The pictures shown must been when hotel was first built. It's run down to say the least worth pay alittle extra stay elsewhere. Manager is not a people person, rude and a liar. I had a few issues while staying there so i was to be compensated but when check out came different story. No compensation. The cleaning staff there was extremely rude banging on door of occupied room that had a sign not to disturb. Cleaning lady gets attitude saying you could have said something I been knocking. I guess she can't read the sign..ridiculous. The noise level was so loud the first night due to others partying until 2 am while there is no manager in the office but claims to live on property. I would NOT recommend anyone to stay here. Not worth all the inconvenience and the rooms are old the doors barely even lock. I will NEVER rent here again! A waste of $320 for 2 nights. Oh yeah n good luck trying to walk into bathroom some rooms you gotta go sideways to get it there
I have to give blue seal inn 1 star 2 write this review Nasty Disgusting & needs to be shut down for health reason...Roach Infested
We always stay at a hotel on the beach .. we went out to Pismo on a 8 •22• 2015 and ended up making our hotel arrangements through hotel.com Upon our arrival the man at the counter was rude and told us he gave us a room with two beds but to only use one so after we grabbed everything from the car and went to our room ( room 11 ) we had a hard time finding the light so we can see our way in good thing for that because there was a family of roaches on the floor tons of baby roaches like they just hatched after getting a refund and getting ready to drive off we see the manager stepping on the roaches as he walked in .... This place is not suitable for anyone to stay in nor do I recommend it .... 2 bad I can't review with no star ....
If I could give them zero stars I would. I made a reservation through hotels.com and arrived after hours which I was told was ok. Upon arrival they refused to honor my reservation, heck they didn't even answer the door despite the sign that reads "Please ring the night bell". Hotels.com attempted to reach someone and was hung up on... stay clear of this place. Rude and dishonest owners!!!
Very rude uneducated front desk girls (jennifer)&(latisha) hung up on me twice..ive never been disrespected like this! before this phone call i was loyal to sea gypsy until i was so rudely spoken to and hung up on i asked for a manager they said they didnt have one.again hung up on me..my family and i have stayed there for years when visiting!! Though the prices are good.i will not be disrespected.50,100,200 is not too bad after speaking with those girls..3/5/15 called at 4:45
I gave it a 4 star because (1) when we put the DO NOT DISTURBE sign on the door, they'd call us -.- they comfirm we didn't want to be disturbed..if we had the door cracked, due to no Ac, you had to open front door, and sliding glas door for a nice breeze, which we didn't mind!! But, even tho we had "do not disturb" on the door, they walk in and cimfirm we didn't want service ugh..every-other day we didn't need service!! But, when we did, they were great!!! (2) we had to move rooms on the second week (our fault) didn't knowat time of check in how long we'd be staying, so our room was booked, and had to move (not a problem) but first room on the bottom floor closest to bed, tho nice, was a little stuffy!! Other then that..it had a cool comfortable bed that went into the wall.. I think their called murphy beds ??? Was nervous at first, but very comfy!! We travel for work and stay in hotels 70% of the time..it's not the Marriott, but has a kitchen fully equipped, and the sunset WOW, sound of the beach AWESOME, and we say dolphins in the ocean from our room for an hr playing AMAZING!!! You can see the pier, and walking distance to shops, food, bars, and famous cinnomon buns :) the pool and hot tub are cleaned daily, and yes, a little strong on chlorine, but better then it not being cleaned at all..they have 2 washer and dryers, but..due to being on the beach, they always had sand in them, so use the laundry mat around the corner, its pretty big too. They do allow dogs!!! We didn't have one, but they allowed them :) if your going on a busy day, or holiday, like labor day..the parking lot can be crazy!! But we parked 2 cars no problem, but labor day..ppl had to park on the street, which looked challenging because that's where the surfers parked lol..oh, balconies were close to one another, that's for sure, but if your friendly, its a great way to meet ppl and have a blast or share a bottle of wine like we did ") oh, we also noticed.. we walked by some rooms with the door open that didn't have kitchen/balcony/Murphy's bed..they were tiny, nice, but tiny!!
There are much nicer places to stay. The place is worn down and out dated. there hot tub and pool area is better built for a old motel 6.The place is in need of a big remodeling. My wife & I stayed there in the past for the cost and for being allowed to have our dogs. The have changed owners and they no longer allow pets . with somany higher end motels and hotels welcoming pets I find there new policy moving them backwards . For romance by the ocean this is not the place.
