Best haircut I have ever had. Would love to have appointment for another haircut. Is phone number the same? I am getting shaggy and don't like the idea of anyone else cutting my hair.

So decided to give this salon a try for 2 reasons. The location is close to my home and I normally travel 45min each way to Concord to get my hair done. The second reason I ended up here was because my regular stylist was away on vacation for 6 weeks. Well I arrived as a walk-in August 2013 and noticed 1 car in the rather small parking lot. It being a Saturday morning, I found this surprising. I knew I needed to get my hair colored. I tried to tell the stylist the best approach to making the color take. She told me she will get the color to take. She did a 2 step process. Although my hair initially looked nice (though felt tough) the problem developed when my regular stylist put the texturizer in my hair more than 1 month later. My regular stylist Marlyn @ Dominican Innovations had worked hard to repair hair damage done by another stylist. My hair was healthy, growing well and very thick. Within minutes of the texturizer being placed on my hair and before Marlyn could do anything to it-by shear application it started coming out in her hand. We had to run to the sink to wash it out. The back 1/4 of my hair was gone with only new growth remaining less than 1/4 of an inch if not less. Marlyn started asking me questions to which I had no answers because I was never informed what was being put in my hair at Marceli's. The color chart shown to me looked the same but obviously it was not. My hair color was red based and now it was deep brown base. Marlyn in knowing about color application figured out what must have been done to my hair to result in the damage. I learned that a stylist who refuses to hear me out is not one to use. I think maybe people who are not getting processing of their hair from Marceli's may be fine but for me I'm back driving to Concord and will stick with the person that best care for my hair. I had to purchase products from Marlyn to use in my hair when I am unable to get to her. I normally only have my hair done by stylists as it is too much work to do myself and with the money invested to assure proper care of it, I do expect to be listened to when I know what works best. I've had to get deep treatments, invest in products and try to wear my hair in ways to hide the damage. Thanks to Marlyn it is getting better and on the road to recovery. As a nurse who takes listening to people seriously, the big red flag was the stylist @ Marceli's refusing to hear me out. Close to home or not, I will never go back or recommend this salon. My word of advice is to proceed with caution.
I have gone to this location for 2 years back in the 1990s and since coming back to Charlotte since 2008. I have always requested Thuy (pronounced Twee) & she has NEVER missed on my hair in 5+ years. She's as good and consistent as a stylist as I've ever had.
The work ethic here is great! My hair looks AMAZING everytime I leave the Hair Chamber. If you want to go somewhere where you will feel like home, and get your hair done the way YOU want, try the Hair Chamber out. Your hair will look so much different from the time you walk in, to the time you leave!
Majella has been my hairstylist for over 10 years and my hair has never looked better!! Majella has a quiet manner and she listens and takes her time. I never feel rushed. Often I get my hair done after a long days work and always come out of the shop with a great cut and as an added bonus...relaxed and de-stessed. Last October Majella and other stylists who have chairs at her shop did the hair for everyone in my daughter's wedding party including the mothers of the bride and groom. Majella orchestrated everything which was a great help. Everyone looked great and was very pleased. Majella has a loyal following of regulars and I can see why. She is a lovely person and a fantastic hairstylist professional.
