If your considering purchasing furniture from Ashley, DON'T!! I bought a beautiful dining room set with matching server. I've had it 4 weeks and it's cheaply made and the server is falling apart. I left two professional but factual reviews on their website with photos supporting my review. Well I received emails from them that my review did not meet their guidelines. Their guidelines aren't allowing negative reviews which is shady business practices!!! Thing is, I read reviews and if I read negative reviews, I may still have purchased that set or a different set. Since they gave shady business practices, they lost a repeat customer!!!
I would not give this place one star!!!! Simon may be the most rude person to ever deal with. He is the owner of the delivery company so he says but in his words “double dips” In the company as well. They were unable to get a couch into my house so it had to be taken back. Not to mention I paid for full service delivery and he asked my husband to help him. That’s not what I paid for. I then asked for my 39.00 back which was a down payment on the couch. Simon hung up on me I then went down there to speak with someone else today. I go In and ask for someone else and the kid goes and gets the manager (Joe) who was the guy sleeping on a bed in the show room. Wow!!! He then let Simon take over and yet Joe says he is the manager. Who the hell is in charge bc it’s seems as if double dipper Simon is. I would never purchase anything from this company!!! It’s a mess. They also deliver your furniture on a little flat bed trailer behind a U haul truck. That’s a great way to have a 1,000 couch delivered to you.
We have purchased multiple pieces from the store in Pinellas Park, FL. Their selection is great, but their products have declined in quality while their prices have not decreased. Our last 3 purchases have been extremely disappointing. One was a reclining chair with a frame that wasn't level that we had to fight with them to return. Second was a battery-operated reclining sofa with a motor that died on one side after 6 months. Each time we asked for service it took 4-6 days for their service guy to contact us simply to schedule a day and time to look at the furniture. After he looked at it they decide how it will be repaired which takes another 2-4 weeks depending on whether the piece will be returned to the factory or fixed in place. Very poor customer service post-purchase. Once you buy your furniture expect to have lower-than-expected quality and absolutely no follow up from their service department or store personnel. You'll be chasing them for resolution.
If you find something you want to purchase, don't buy the protection plan! The sales people will tell you every lie to make the sale, as they did to me and my husband. When we went to repair our couch, we were told that the plan did not cover what the salesman said it did. We wasted $400. The store manager was extremely rude and thew us out of the store when we asked him to make the situation correct. I will not be back here. Ever.

The worse service I have ever had in my life. They keep changing the delivery schedule without any notice, I'm tired of keep calling them ask why my furnitures are still not be delivered. The customer service is the worse, talking like they don't need the customer. I purchased from them a lot, and almost every single product has defective manufacture and I have to call for exchange and keep waiting again, and they change schedule again. It happened 3 times already. I'm not purchase furniture for myself but for my aunt too, and she had trouble about delivery too. I'll never leave bad review if I didn't get in trouble so many times like this. I was nice to them but they pissed me off. It drives me crazy. Really really really disappointed. Never ever come back.
My name is Larry Spacciapoli. A couple of years ago my wife and I purchase over $20,000 in furniture from Matter Brothers in Naples. We specifically asked for furniture that was made in USA. We were told that we were getting American made furniture, and believed we were until a couple of weeks ago when we visited our home and noticed that there was a crack in the kitchen table. I should preface this by stating that we live in New York and have only used this table about 5 time since we got it. This was due in part that it took nearly a year to come in, and because we just don't frequent the home very much. We visited the furniture store and spoke with Stuart Matter, who for some reason, was very rude to me about the complaint. I have been in business in New York for 61 years, and I explained to him that I was lied to about the furniture, and only found out because it cracked and I investigated where the furniture came from. I explained to him that while he isn't obligated to fix my table, that it was defective, and he should consider repairing it. This is something that businesses that stand behind their products and support their customers do, because it's the right thing. Then, Stuart Matter as rudely as possible, shook his finger in my face and yelled "that's bullcrap!!" I have never been more offended in my life, and I have had a long one! I left feeling devalued and unimportant as a customer. I feel like I'm on an island right now, with nobody to help me. If I can recommend something, it is that you choose to furnish you home somewhere else. We all know that things break and occasionally are defective. I don't think you can judge a company on what they do when things are good. It's when things like this happen that you see their true colors! I feel sick that Stuart Matter, the owner of the business would treat any of his customers that way. Please STAY AWAY! STAY FAR AWAY!
I purchased a couch, a rocker recliner, and 4 tables on Monday with the schedule delivery date friday between twelve and four pm. After taking the afternoon off work finally at four thirty I called to find out where my delivery was and was informed they came and I was not there. A total and complete lie. I made eight phone calls between the store and "customer service" line. I was informed both the store manager as well as the district manager were both off and un- available. Each representative that I spoke to was rude, arrogant and one even laughed! None of them were even remotely helpful. Just said I would have to get back on the delivery list it " might" be another week before I could get my delivery. And they told me I was not able to cancel my order until mid week to get my money back!! After pulling my surveillance video the representative for the delivery arrived 1 hour Before my scheduled delivery time. I was at work. This is RTG error not mine.
Read these reviews before I compose mine... our nightmare with this store is the same. You would think when you spend $4,000.00 the store would treat you like a valued customer. Ha! There is NO follow through... wanted an additional shelf for my hutch.. ordered it in beginning of September with full payment and able to pick it up 12/10/15. Only can pick up on Thursdays.. why? I go to store... just another scenario showing how difficult they are to deal with. Unfortunately, being new to Florida I neglected to check out this business before dealing with them. There are so many lovely furniture stores in our region... shop elsewhere. All they want is your initial money... be careful......
